LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Awesome work piterx! (sei un grande!) Quote
EvilEnderman Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 It's looking great so far, going to have a go myself - Considering my lack of L motors, I'll try and cram an XL in there :p Looking forward to the next update! Quote
piterx Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 hello guys! thanks for the good feedback! im happy that u like this project im going a bit slow as i've broken my right hand so im sorry for it :P WELL! time to complete the chassis so u can use it for whatever u want: rear panhard rod steering system note: (the two gears are gonna be strenghten up once the front part of the body is attached) gearbox stick servo mounting Quote
Technyk32231 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Looking good! I hope your hand heals up soon. Quote
Hrafn Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Oh no! I hope you heal quickly. When I broke my wrist, the doctors told me protein helps speed the healing of bones, and that did seem to be borne out by my experience. Quote
EvilEnderman Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Finished the chassis, was excellent fun to make - however couldn't fit my XL and M motors in properly, so I'll just make this a manual model Looking forward to see the next update Quote
PROlego Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Piterx, since I currently don't own any changeover catch or driving ring i don't know why have you attached the gearbox stick with a flick missile, wouldn't it be better to have a 3L axle? Is the changeover catch axle hole frictionless so you can't do that? Edited October 11, 2014 by PROlego Quote
EvilEnderman Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 They're frictionless, so to allow switching between different rings on gearboxes with higher gears. You could just use a 4l axle with some bushings on the ends, both will work fine Quote
PROlego Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Ok, thank you. In fact I own like 30 flick missiles but I was only being curious... Quote
Jeff the lego nut Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I'm going to try and build this but without it being remote control, and try to add the Suzuki body to it. Finger's crossed hope it goes well for me. Quote
