Yeah, some parts fitting together is not always obvious. Might I ask what you need this particular parts combo for?

Just trying different things in LDD, the chain thingy is for a fork lift.

I decided to look at Technicopedia to see if any forklift sets had used a chain like this, and it turns out, several have. But, they all use a wide track link as a connection, which you don't have. However, I have a couple of alternatives.

The chain links will fit on any old hinge piece with 3 fingers

It's a tight fit, and won't work loose easily.

Also, you can hold the chain against a 16z gear, with this part.

It's a cam piece, fairly common. What you do is put an axle through the offset hole, the middle one of the holes at the large end, put the 16z gear on that axle, then put the chain on. Finally, you hold the chain in place by putting an axle through the hole at the narrow end.

Looks like the new Bionicle sets have new parts!....70790 has 8 of part # 32348 in trans orange!

Call me a sucker for such details but, all spiders have 8 legs, and that one has only six ... humm?

I edited my post....it has 8 parts/legs :-)

My point was directed towards lego ... they call the set 'Lord of Skull SPIDER' ... and yet in the video it has only 6 legs, though 8 trans-orange parts.

Other point, the English/French names are NOT the same. The French name translates to: 'The Lord of the Spiders Skeletons', but of course, that is all off-topic.

Saw something interesting in the new 2014 Arctic sets....a 4L axle connector: http://www.bricklink...&colorID=4&in=A

Part #2637 is now available in Yellow: http://brickset.com/...Demolition-Site

Part #15535 is now in red: http://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-6102138

42039 has a fresh supply if the White 19L flexible hoses, which havent been seen since 2002: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=8461-1

42036 has three 12L Red flexible hoses, which again are rather rare: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=32200&colorID=5&in=A

Some other very interesting parts have surfaced!....part # 40794 is now available in trans clear and trans red!!

It shouldbe noted the trans clear part was seen in the early preliminary version of 42039....but the part did not make the final product:

I believe efferman already reported this on a prior thread. But, since we're on the Bionicle subject, I got two huge boxes a couple of weeks back off a local seller and they were full of some unique parts. While many on the Bionicle/Hero parts may seem useless in Technic, one can always use an X-acto knife and cut only that part that he needs. If you go down that route (and have many parts to alter surgically) then such Bionicle/Hero parts are a goldmine.

Uhm, no.

What's the point of building from LEGO then? Where's the challenge of using limited amount of shapes?

you made me thinking again, and I agree, I have seen it in this forum somewhere. But could not find it. So I only point to the part, I don't claim (anymore) to have found it.

And the part might well be usefull in some situation. However you will only have a use for it, if you have one already.

Go ahead and spend your life within the constraints of YOUR surroundings ... As for me, I'd prefer to expand beyond what's available. To each his own, ;)
