Devid Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 This is my first Optimus Prime (G1) transformable Link Flickr Quote
Chills Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Wow! That's some great work, Devid. You captured Prime perfectly, and he even transforms! I love the use of those old-school windows. I haven't seen them since the 80s. Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Good work! Looks and transfroms like the real thing Quote
TheLegoDr Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 This is exactly what I've been looking for for inspiration! I've been wanting to build one that actually transforms, but then just decided to build a stand alone model. This is perfect. I will definitely look back at this and see if I can pick up any good tips (I'm sure I will). Any other tips you would be willing to share with a newbie vehicle/transformer builder? Quote
Brandon Miller Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Love it. You'e captured the essence of the G1 Optimus. Quote
deraven Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Gorgeous G1! The face is especially good; NPU with that roof piece for his mouth! It looks like it was designed for Optimus, not finishing off dormers. ;) Awesome. Quote
GrowlingWarrior Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Great work! Can't imagine how much work it must have been to do it. Hope we see other transformers in the future! Quote
bacem Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) awesome! both model looks good, and the transformation really scream "optimus prime". tough i don't really like that the hand is partsforming. but then again, the G1 also does that, so i can't really complaint, can i? what really set this apart from most of the G1 optimus MOC, is that the chest opens a little. a detail that most of the moc-ist forgot when making G1 optimus. love it! lightningtiger Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 As close as perfect as you can make him 'Devid'.......Brick On ! Quote
TheGreyPilgrim Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Wow! That just brought me back to the 80's. Very nicely done. I'm very impressed! Quote
B Rick Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) Very cool! I think you've nailed it. Not only in looks, but also in 'functionality'. It looks totally playable, and it takes me back to the 80's. A time were and when Lego transformers could not transform. Or move in at all... Edited October 14, 2014 by B Rick Quote
HawkLord Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Very well done and nicely posable G1 Prime! Is that Nemesis Prime or Scourge creeping up on Prime in the last pic...? Quote
Devid Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 Thanks to everyone for the compliments! and it is not finished yet... I have modified it for put inside the minifig, i will make pictures as soon as possible. Quote
kieran Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Unbelievable, that is some very clever building to get it to transform and look so goon Quote
Adolfo Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I'm impressed how the MOC really remember us Optimus. Very well done! Congrats! Quote
Crabster Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Very cool MOC. I like transformers from lego. Easy and cool ! Quote
