Thanks samiamuc. I never intended to sell them; i just missed some figures and parts so i made them. I love to take pictures of Lego Lord of the Rings/Hobbit-scenes. Thror was really difficult to make, but Bill the pony is easy. Just saw the legs with a small saw and glue them back together. Remove the part in the middle (where you normally put a saddle) and glue those two parts together. Finish by putting some studs on the back.

Beorn Bear I made by just cutting some parts of the Beor-hairpiece and then I glued them on a normal bear. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I'm not very good at making customs yet. I probably need to get a craft saw. But I have an even bigger question that I would really like to know-What paint brand and type do you use for your customs?

Oh I use a lot of aceton to melt and work the LEGO-parts into each other. If I have useless or broken bricks I dissolve them into a bit of aceton and then i use this to 'sculpt' some extra detail. The paint I use is Revell Email Color. It is normally used to paint little soldiers and things like that, but most of the colors come very close to the LEGO-colors. I hope this helps?

Thank you so much for your help. I can't wait to make a pony and to get my hands on some of that paint and aceton. I had two more questions though: Could you post a picture of the other side of your pony (on flicker or on here)? And I forgot what the other question was!:O

Oh I remebered the other question! What color of the revell email color did you use for the main reddish orange of Dain Ironfoot's beard? was it the luminus orange?

Thank you for all of your help, but in the end I don't think I will use paint on customs - I remebered a video I had seen by the brothers brick here: http://www.brothers-brick.com/2013/06/30/50-shades-of-bley-iain-heaths-mad-lego-science/ where he uses dye to perpanently change the color of the lego bricks. You might find this interesting, as it would mean that you wouldn't have to worry about the brush slipping or anything like that with paint. You just have to have new-ish bricks, because scratches show up easily.
