Same, although the mask looks a bit goofy with the proportions on that one. :P

Yeah, I noticed that, but I can live with a bigger mask. If it's too big, I'll just make a MOC of a figure that has a bigger body that fits the masks proportions.

WELL... I can't really make out the Ice or the Earth Protectors all too terribly well, but they both have potential to be standouts for me. That being said. Jungle Protector is top tier.

I also like the looks of both of those, but I also can't make out much. The Stone Protector seems to have a cool staff, and I'm a sucker for a good staff. I'll still probably end up getting all of them.

A staff? I thought it had, like, a chain mace. Like Ogrum.

I'm partial to the Water Defender; I'm a sucker for aquatic themed sets, always have been.

Oh, Stone, not Earth. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Although I kinda wish they'd have introduced a new blade piece, seeing how often they're reusing the 2013 flame one.

I was talking about this

To me that looks like a staff.

Well, you're both right and wrong.

You're right about it being a staff, but you're wrong when you say this is Protector of Earth - It's Protector of Stone.

Yeah I know, forgot the cardinal colors of Bionicle, I left when they entered Bara Magna, never got into HF, and I'm a little rusty, I've corrected above, sorry!

No need to apologize :P

The least I like is the Fire Defender, the color-scheme is just really generic feeling, pretty dull weapons and equipment compared to others.

Ice one just looks ridiculous and Jungle one could be cool if the weapon wasn't... crossbow minigun.

My favourite could be Earth thanks to it's purple mace and other design decisions along with Water and Stone.

Speaking of weapons... Can anyone explain to me what exactly Pohatu is holding? I haven't really been able to make out what they are...

Anyways, what are everyone's favourite defenders? I love the jungle one, with the coloured joints. (I'll delete this question if discussed before)

Well, my favorite color is green ,my favorite element is air/jungle, my favorite Toa is Lewa, so I guess my favorite defender is......Stone. Just kidding, it's the Jungle/Air Defender. A close second, though, is the Ice Defender, as white and black contrast well. But, I also like the purple on the Earth Defender, and I like the water Defender.....I just don't like the Fire Defender. He seems too boring and generic......

^Yeah, I have no clue about anything Pohatu-related. The mask is a big blob, and doesn't correspond to the golden one. I can't distinguish the secondary color scheme, the weapons make no sense.....Pohatu is the most mysterious. But Gali too; I can't make out any of her mask. All I see are red eyes and a frowny face. But Onua.....no clue either. The entire build blends into the background and itself, and on the box it looks like he has a Samurai mask, but the golden one is slender and looks like it has a mustache.

Really, we best know about the mask and legs on Tahu, the torso of Lewa, and practically all of Kopaka.

On a new topic, what kind of heads do we think that they will use? HF heads? Glatorian heads? Or a new mold.....

Just to clarify, but are we sure it's white and brown, and not silver and brown?

^On what, Stone Defender and Pohatu? I thought it was white.....but I still hold out hope that it will be tan. I mean, these are very likely to be prelims, which would explain the lack of any real details in some masks, the fact that they don't correspond to each other, and the animated look of the spiders. They don't look physical at all.....

This is official Eurobricks policy regarding leaked images.

Do refrain from sharing leaked images. Confidential sharing policy was discussed with Lego a few weeks ago and this remains to be our policy.

So can we post a link to a page that has another link to a leak?

For some reason, I'm not actually that taken with the Matoran for once. It's probably the lack of individuality at this point, but I got nothing other than "Hello, conventiently multi-coloured Arthron-lookalikes!"

I'm going to be the odd one out here and try to explain how they could get away with this being a continuation rather than a reboot.

"When in its default configuration, the adaptive armour reverts to a state similar to the ordinary armor of its respective Toa."

One can safely assume that the Toa Nuva exchanged their Nuva armour for the Adaptive Armour. If that is in fact the case, (which is backed up by BS01's claim that Stars Tahu is a vague representation of the armour in its default state) then it can also be assumed that in its default state, the Toa Nuva would more resemble their Mata forms... or these sets here. Lewa's drastic redesign could be attributed to the fact that he's currently in the Bota Magna region, and his armour is currently in jungle form. Some of the others are slightly harder to explain, but I imagine that would be dealt with early on.

Slightly more farfetched is the idea the the "Defenders/Protectors" could possibly be The Element Lords.

We've seen the Element Lords. They're huge, and made of their elements.

:excited: I wonder if they'll be in Bara Magna, or (hopefully, I didn't care for the Bara Magna line) or back in the original world? I'm happy nevertheless, although if they don't have an great story line, I'll be let down. I like the looks of the blue (water?) one with turbines on his back.

I think that they are supposed to be in the Bota Magna section of the reformed Spherus Magna.

"Claps." Good job! Excellent story-based explanation. And don't worry, you're not the only one saying how it could easily be a continuation.

Ah, my mistake about them I guess. I actually forgot all about that image. The scale however was never really a factor for me since the sets almost never accurately represented in universe scale to begin with. More likely the Toa would only be larger under the pretense that Lego wanted them to be the main focus of this new line. Regardless, I think the Adaptive Armour theory could still hold water.

Uh... the sets have always been to scale with other sets within their own wave. Hell, everything from 06-09 is to scale with everything else from 06-09, bar the system playsets and Toa Mata Nui.

The only reason things are approximately to scale between 06 and 09 is because damn near everything from 06 to 09 used the Inika build. Kinda hard to mess up scale when everything is the same anyways. Besides, I don't buy that sets only have to be to scale within their respective waves since in canon, they're all seen together anyways.
