Aside from fish and skullspiders bats are the only fauna we have seen yet.

{pic of bat}

I really like your bat (polybag concept? I do like all your concepts). Great use of the CHI Panthar upper head for the bat head. Shame the Dark Orange elements don't exist, or I would have gone and built this in a hurry (but then again... when has that stopped me?)

I agree with Kalhiki, I wish this was a polybag set.

I'm calling legit. This is completely unseen concept art

Hm... Maybe something like:

Ice ruins

R

T: Add UW to your mana pool. Mana produced by Ice Ruins can only be used to cast spells on your turn.

Oh, wrong forum lol.

But in all seriousness, these concept arts are gorgeous. Wish the extended media incorporated this a little more. There really is a lot of potential to have some really cool separate story media for kids to draw inspiration from.

Where's the Frost Giants?

Odin promised there won't be any frost giants.

Thanks, I primary try to make my MOCs look like actual sets and LDD is the fastest and best option for it, while I'd also had the parts in most cases to do it I don't mind playing around anymore that much with them, and It's unlikely I disassemble the new sets anytime soon..

This also gives me a better understanding in the sets design rather than just slapping torsos on top of one another.

Sometimes I create parts that aren't yet available :D

But I still imagine the characters themselves much more 1-3 movie like.

I just had a revelation: in the Prophecy of Heroes, we see six different planets, each belonging to a specific element, right? And warriors (the Toa) from each of those planets came to another planet, one where they fight in an "arena" (Okoto)......

BIONICLE 2015 is really THROWBOTS!!!!

That would be really awesome, honestly.

....Wasted? Why, because we didn't explore every single inch of Okoto yet? Seriously, we have at least two and a half more years on Okoto, so why not save some of the world building for later? The story, right now, does not revolve around the individual regions of Okoto--it's all about the Ancient City right now.

FTFY

First impressions mean everything. This line both has and had a great deal of potential, but most of it is unused at the moment. When I first saw the concept art, Okoto felt like this once magnificent place lost to time and decay, a land filled with mystery and opportunity, and the Toa's quest to restore it to its former beauty and peace. But so far, none of that has been even alluded to, and it likely never will be. And as I said before, first impressions mean everything. Okoto won't have nearly as much of that kind of atmosphere if and when the Ancient City is restored and the Toa begin to explore the island, if they even do. This is concept art, and as such none of it needs to have a place in the story, or even be represented in the story. Art styles and direction change, and as much as I prefer the "original style" I have doubts it will ever be used in the story. I'm more worried about what the "Toa Nuva" of Gen 2 are going to end up like than the story anyway.

And no, it's not "all about the Ancient City right now.". That's what is to come, but the Winter story was mostly about the Golden Masks.

I really hope that all the awesome concept art comes in somewhere because it is too dang good not to be. Perhaps it would be used in a movie or console game? One can dream...

I got Lewa, Gali, Pohatu and Onua for Easter! Onua is a beast, Lewa is awesome other than the fact that he can't look up, Gali is absolutely beautiful, and Pohatu is underwhelming but not awful.

Wow. I initially only saw the WIP of your MoUP, GK733, but the completed version is nice. Too bad it isn't buildable, but this gives me great hopes for the moment when we'll get the official version. I didn't like the MoUP's design all that much at first, but your attempt has changed my opinion.

I'm still hoping the MOUP has molded in flames coming out of the top. And the mask is a black and trans red blend a la the Protector masks.

Or at least not all black. Sounds like an idea worth to try.

Eeeh, I'm not too fond of translucent blends. And while tr. red would really be the only choice for the MoUP, combined with the black tr. red would just make the whole thing too dark and cause that weird effect where a tr. color seems to be tr. clear, but in low-light conditions. I'd stick to a black/dark red blend.

Nobody's mentioned skull villain mask powers. Anybody think they'll have any?

*Skull Mask of Grinding

*Skull Mask of Bashing

*Skull Mask of Battling

*Skull Mask of Slicing

*Golden Skull Mask of Controlling

*Skull Mask of Astrology

Does anyone else think that maybe the Skull villains and the Skull Spiders will be linked--as in, maybe they are "working together" or part of the same army? I think (or, rather, HOPE) that the Skull Spiders are still relevant to the story, so maybe we will see them work side-by-side in the final battle in the Ancient City? I don't know, I just can't believe that LEGO would introduce Skull Spiders, make them appear in 13 out of 18 sets, and just get rid of them so quickly.

If they really are done, and we never see LOSS or the Skull Spiders ever again.......I might just cry. :cry_sad:

Natch, took a great picture of this cobblestone formation that looked exactly like the Mask of Control, but then I lost it. Bummer.

Too bad. Also, funnily enough, it turn out that my camera case has a clip that looks almost exactly like a mask. The classic Hau, to be precise.

I know this is kind of random but here is some 2016 speculation I came up with. What if next years first wave contains Rahi remakes with a Makuta in the summer?

I thought about what Rahi's functions could be and what masks they could contain akin to the originals, with the exception of color differences, but useable with CCBS.

Fly Rahi(Nui Rama): Lewa Apple green, 2 trans blue Hau's, 3 gear box fuction.

Scorpion Rahi(Nui Jaga): Pohatu Brown/Orange, 2 Brown/Orange Mask of Earth's, regular trigger tail function.

Bull Rahi(Muaka): Keetorange, 2 Gunmetal Hau's, complex trigger function.

Serpent Rahi(Tarakava): Gali blue with one respective blue Mask of Stone, two complex trigger functions.

Crab Rahi(Manas!): Red, with 2 Mask of Jungle's, again two complex trigger functions.

Now to explain what I mean by "trigger functions". The regular Nui Jaga could have a more simple stinger tail while the complex triggers are more so whatever that thing is on the Magma Mechs right arm(collected those years ago). And the prices I figure the first 3 around medium sized sets while the latter 2 large. Just thought I'd share some speculation. Sorry.

"Serpent" isn't really the best description for the Tarakava, though. But considering that it's basically a sort of elongated preying mantis abomination thing, I guess that's as good a one-word description as you can get. I do kind of want see stuff like this. Non-humanoids almost always have more useful parts than humanoids.

If they make a Nui-Jaga-esque creature, purple would be the way to go, however.
