I can't wait to get these guys  Here's hoping this theme sells really well! I really hope we can get a proper Scooby-doo video game too! It'd be so fun.

And I really hope this theme will have a second wave to get more interesting villains....

I know they had to make 4 new hairpieces + 2 Scooby-Doo + the Pumpkin mask mould, so they saved some money with the other villains.

I really would love another wave, we need more of the monsters from the original series. I'd hate to think this theme could come and go without giving us the Creeper, Space Kook and Charlie the robot.

I'm also excited to see what Scooby stuff we ultimately get from the Dimensions packs. I'm sort of hoping that an additional pack down the line gives us a new mold for the Black Knight's helmet (I know it's not terribly likely, but Doc Browns hairpiece gave me a little room to dream). Really the Dimensions packs may be a good way to get some monsters. After all if we can get a pack for the Wicked Witch and her flying monkeys than it's only fair we get Scooby Doo villains at some point down the line.

Non villain characters they should add are:

Scrappy-Doo (Scooby's brave nephew)

Scooby-Dum (Scooby's idiot cousin)

Madelyn Dinkley (Velma's slightly younger possibly twin sister) (she debuted in Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra Doo)

The Hex Girls

Blue Falcon

and

Dynomutt

Yeah, but he was a villain in the movie because he was the most hated character in any version of the show  . for collectible purposes he might be nice for some, but i personally would never let that rodent taint my collections

I'll never understand why Scrappy was so reviled. He had the opposite effect on Scooby-Doo! that Cousin Oliver had on the brady bunch. Oliver failed to save the brady bunch from getting cancelled. Scrappy saved the Scooby-Doo series and was actually quite popular at the time. Plus Flim Flam was hated more than Scrappy was. Personally I like Scrappy.

Another character they should add is Vincent Van Ghoul.

Ah, the memories of watching Scooby Doo when growing up. I can still remember the collective groan from my brothers and I when it was realized that Scrappy was in it. We either turned the channel or just stopped watching TV for a while. Scrappy is essentially the prototype of Jar Jar Binks. He was an annoying character to most of the people where I lived. His fanbase seemed mainly limited to the very young. Honestly, I thought he did have the same general impact to cousin Oliver in the Brady Bunch, but somehow the network refused to believe it. Before the term "jump the shark" surfaced, we defined it as "pulling a Scrappy Doo". Just a couple of years ago, our neighbors bought a miniature pinscher and confined it to the back yard. It would constantly bark to the point where every neighbor surrounding it reported it. And yes, our name for the dog was "Scrappy Doo". The first Scooby Doo movie casts Scrappy as the villian to pay homage to that shift in the series.

Back to Lego---I really hope they do not waste a mold on him. It would be better if they allocated the part to a classic (pre/post Scrappy) villian. If they do decide to pull a Scrappy, there would really have to be something else awesome in that set to justify purchasing it.

Scrappy was obviously an attempt at getting younger kids that weren't already viewers. Scooby is an adult dog, though his character is very child-like, and the rest of the gang are supposed to be driving age teens. When Scrappy came on the scene, though, the gang still dressed in the styles from nearly a generation before, so young children might not see them as teens, but as adults. The lack of parents in much of the shows was the real problem here, but the writers or studio opted for a younger character to appeal to the new kid audience. Later iterations had to keep solving how to get the next generation of viewers interested in the brand.

The recent Mystery Incorporated show included the parents more, and solidified the idea that they are teenagers, even though the clothing styles are decades old. I had other issues with that show, but that is a topic for another time.

I doubt that Scrappy will be reprised in the upcoming version, and if he isn't it is less likely he will get a mold.

Well if we get a Lego Scooby Doo videogame, ya'll can bet Scrappy will be in it. I never got the hate for Scrappy. He was kind of annoying at times, but not on Jar Jars level

I'm sure we'll get Flim Flam and Scrappy at some point

I hope we get Madelyn Dinkley, Vincent Van Ghoul, Scooby-Dum, Yabba Doo, Hex Girls and Blue Falcon and Dynomutt to at some point.

So I couldn't hold out anymore and ended up getting Scooby and Velma off Ebay. Pretty awesome quality. Scooby's collar printing is way better than the official photo, the blue printing covers the collar precisely and the gold printing is very finely done.

Interestingly Scooby isn't entirely hard plastic, his tail is made of a softer plastic that bends.

I really hope they do a Velma Dinkley Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions. She's a cool character and one I think would be the most fun to play after Scooby and Shaggy, the game could really use more female characters in general, and it'd be great to be able to get her in a $15 set.

Yay the Cousin Elkwood face looks great! It's a shame Scooby Dum wasn't in that set as he was in that scene.

Im dissapointed that the DVD doesn't come with an exclusive figure

Yeah, all they'd have needed was a new head mold for him, otherwise it would have just been a matter of recoloring existing parts.

I'm hoping Lego Dimensions might provide a decent opportunity to get characters we wouldn't probably get in a set.
