Burf2000 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 My good friend Henrik gave me a great idea, build a LEGO Skateboard / Hoverboard that uses Rotacaster Omni Directional wheels as its the year of Back to the Future. Here is a quick rough prototype of it. It is supporting my weight at 85KG.It uses 8 NXT's, 16 NXT motors and 8 Rotacaster wheelshttp://www.rotacaste...tic-wheels.htmlNext version to be stronger, and look cooler!I had another go after the filming had stopped and was great fun, until I fell off lol Quote
camaudio Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 nice work, looks like a lot of fun now you need a larger area to film Quote
Burf2000 Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 Yeah your right, finding somewhere to try it out is always the hardest part! Quote

SMC Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I always thought the important part of the hoverboard was the hovering . My turn next. Quote
Meatman Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 That is neat and definitely a first. I can hear those motors crying from here. Great job. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) I see you had a special visitor, did he have a go on it? Edited February 16, 2015 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Fuppylodders Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Seeing your previous stuff I am not surprised to see you attempting the impossible with some sort of success =D It certainly looks like it floats along even if you can't see the air between the board and the surface it is on :P Most impressive stuff yet again! ManInATopHat Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Every office in the world needs one of these to relieve employees' from walking. This is awesome, apparently, where we're going, we don't need roads. Quote
