ADGonline Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Hello and sorry for my English, I'm a french lego fan. This is my new project and I post new pics of this on future messages. Quote
ReplicaOfLife Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Neat. I like how you adapted the front facade design to be wider rather than just putting two Pet Shops next to each other, as many seem to do when expanding the PS. Quote
PastVPresent Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Nice work ADGonline - looks like a cool modern Ferrari storefront! Do you have photos from the front (other angles)? Quote
MusicaRibelle Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 more pictures, please, let's see the inside. where are the Ferrari cars? :) BTW, last weekend I passed the local Ferrari dealer and they had last year's F1 car in the window. I immediately had to find parking and go take a look. So, which models are in your store window? :) Quote
Off the wall Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Neat. I like how you adapted the front facade design to be wider rather than just putting two Pet Shops next to each other, as many seem to do when expanding the PS. As some one who's started expanding these modulars, it's tricky getting the measurements correct. The Ferrari garage is good because he actually took the time to make it seamless. So many of the mods involving expansion look like they were simply pushed together or, in the case of the DA, cubes were rearranged or restacked. When merging two buildings, sometimes you end up with a second floor where the roof needed is either two studs wider or two studs narrower than you were expecting. It looks easy, but requires a lot of thought, measurement and experimentation to get it as right as this guy did. Or, skill like ADGonline obviously has. The symmetry on the second and third floors is excellent. Granted, I'm a little eccentric and wasteful, but if I'm combining two buildings.....I like to have three sets available to make sure I have all the parts I need. lightningtiger Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Very nice......though only suggestion is the grey roof - I would of tiled it.....made it smooth to match the rest of the building. Now I look forward to seeing more of this..........Brick On 'ADGonline' ! Quote
Bornin1980something Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Will you be filling this garage with Speed Champions Ferraris when they arrive in stores? Quote

That's the point I was getting at By changing all the windows to four wide, and leaving two bricks space between the windows on the top floor, instead of just one as in the original set, he gave the building an even, symmetrical look while still staying true to the original design. It looks way better than just having two copies of the 16 wide house next to each other. Quote
ADGonline Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Following is coming soon . I am just finishing the workshop and I put you photos just after. lightningtiger : I actually planned to complete the roof Quote

When my wife is at the mall tomorrow, I'll have her pick up another PS so I can do it right. No LDD. I'll just start with a demo of the areas that join the two current PS and then use trial and error to work towards a more aesthetically pleasing expanded PS. Quote
ER0L Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Looks great, I love the combination of classic architecture with a modern garage. Of course I'm looking forward to the cars! Quote
