Herky Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Wall E and Dr Who from last time made the cut...I think Lego Ideas is certainly going downhill, what a lame decision to do 1 only out of several good offerings. I really like the Pleyworld concept better where if you get 500 votes and it is viable, Pleyworld will make it and you can get it. TLG is quickly losing my support, sheesh, get with it folks, it isn't that hard.
Blakstone Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I was rooting for Wall E. I want that one. I may get the Dr Who one, which is odd since I haven't watched but a few episodes during Eccleston's time.
Off the wall Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 The Dr Who decision is great for Dr Who fans. So, good for them. Not saying it isn't 'awesome', but I have no interest in Wall E, but good for those who do. The big test, at least in my opinion, is whether or not Lego has interest in Ideas sets with large piece counts. And, the natural history museum should give me an indication as far as that goes.
Herky Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 I have to doubt any set but the piano from the next offering will get through, TLG isn't interested in making good fan sets anymore. I like the WallE, thought it was well done, liked Dr Who, also well done, maybe I get them, maybe not. My point is more that there is more than 1 that was worthy, to just limit to 1? I am stopping any support of Lego Ideas offerings cause why go through that process to get the 10K votes only to see it turned down? If I was the losing folks, I would get it over to Pleyworld.

talos Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Oh gee...I like Dr. Who, I saw the movie Wall-E, but buy a Lego set for either? Probably not....my kind of project (ie buildings in general) doesn't have a chance up against the mainstream interests...
Andy D Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Normally I mainly just build modulars, but As a long time Doctor Who fan I will get the Doctor Who set. I just may get the Wall-E set as well. Andy D
Herky Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) I wish TLG would expand the Birds set, why stop at 3? They did a special edition for their employees but the cost on ebay is crazy. Also, fine to do Wall E but why not just add Eve in there too? I hope WallE comes with a plant.
