Coca-Cola Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) Spiderman $12:99: Gang Fight. Includes Spiderman, Gang Member, Gang Leader. $19:99: Mysterio’s Lair. Includes Spiderman (Battle Damaged) Mysterio, and Scorpion $49:99: Midtown High School Showdown. Includes Spiderman, Peter Parker, Mysterio, Aunt May, Cop. Mysterio is my personal favorite Spider-man villain and it would kick so much megablocks (EDIT: well played Eurobricks. Well played.) to see him included there!! Plus a update for Peter, Aunt May, heck maybe even a Gwen or Betty would be good. Edited January 3, 2016 by Coca-Cola Quote

It would definitely be cool to get some new Spider-men and villains. Then we would have the complete with White Tiger. Would be very nice. I hope that we get Kraven, Mysterio ( I think apart from Doc Ock and Green Goblin he is quite iconic), Lizard and Vulture. Shocker though would be great too. Quote

Coca-Cola Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Dang... Always forget Kraven In my opinion I wouldn't be too keen on Kraven appearing this year anyway. He is heavily rumoured to be the villain in the 2017 Spider-man film and considering it will be a MCU film I bet there will be at least one set for the movie, with him as the villain. While it isn't confirmed, and heck we may not even get sets for the film anyway, I'm still hoping we get different characters this year and see what happens 2017. If we get to 2017 and still no Kraven thats a problem we can face then. But as of now, I don't want a Kraven, only to have another pop up the next year taking up spots other characters could. Quote
NXS7 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 As long as I get Mysterio and Vulture, I'm happy *and Shocker Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) With 3 spider man sets coming this summer, if there's no white tiger minifigure, my head may explode. I really want to complete the original team. Other heroes I'd like in those sets are, agent venom, cloak and dagger and spider man 2099. As for villians, mysterio, lizard (comic version), vulture, shocker and electro (classic). I too would not mind waiting for 2017 for kraven as long as they don't make him look too different in the movie ala electro. Edited January 6, 2016 by Marvelfan120 Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Looks like we may have an idea of what Spider-man will look like in Civil War next Friday. Merchoid has a Spidey hoodie that they say they can show pics of on the 15th of this month. http://www.merchoid.com/product/spiderman-premium-hoodie/ Quote

Considering the fight is actually set at his high school, it makes perfect sense that Pete wouldn't be prepared, and would have to quickly run into the bathroom and change. It's still the same character twice. And not even a separate incarnation (because obviously he can't regenerate), as with the TARDIS set and 11 and 12 minifigures. I think Peter Parker and Spider-Man minifigures should be in separate sets. Edited January 10, 2016 by LEGODalekbuster523 Quote

LEGODalekbuster523 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Do you feel the same way about Batman and Bruce Wayne in the Batcave sets? Yes. It's odd because they are one and the same. You only have to take Batman's mask off and swap it for the right hairpiece to get Bruce Wayne. Quote
N_Cat Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Yes. It's odd because they are one and the same. You only have to take Batman's mask off and swap it for the right hairpiece to get Bruce Wayne. Well, if you own a Batman figure, you know that's not true. It's also untrue for Spider-Man. Neither of those figures helps you build their respective secret identities. Quote

Neither of those figures helps you build their respective secret identities. I disagree. If you get the right hairpiece, you can create Bruce Wayne in the Batman costume without the mask and just pretend he's been injured to explain the weird bandage thing at the top of the head when the Batman mask isn't on. Marvelfan120 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Personally, while i wouldn't mind a Peter Parker minifig, I would rather they use the for someone else. I just don't see us getting a PP fig in a set without spiderman, I mean how likely is it that LEGO are going to have a set where they choose to feature Peter over Spiderman. So, while yes it is a bit redundant, that would be the only way I can see it happening. Therefore it would be a better option IMO is to use the slot for a Spider-verse hero or villain we don't have (and we have listed many) rather than use it on a civilian Peter. I am also still really wanting more X-Men sets and while I know that none are likely this year, I am still holding out hope for future sets. I recently read that Marvel and Fox are negotiating again around the rights to the X-Men. Fox wants to put a third X-Men show into development, probably around more central/popular characters than the Legion and Hellfire shows they already have in the works. So, if Fox/Marvel relations soften even more, maybe we might get some X-Men sets in 2017 and beyond. Heck, if we get really lucky and Marvel regains the rights to the Fantastic Four... We'll that's probably too much to wish for at this point Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Fantastic Four would be, well, fantastic. I'd be interested to see how they'd make all of them except the Thing. He'd have to be a bigfig but would Mrs. Fantastic be a kind of see through character, sort of like Electro, or if they'd do a normal version and play up her other abilities. Maybe do legs like President Buisness for Mr. Fantastic. I guess Human Torch would just be a flame design minifig, maybe with some flames in his hands and the flame headpiece. I would love a Peter Parker minifig though, I think the Midtown High set would be great with a change play feature for Peter to Spider-man, like the old Batcave switched Bruce to Batman if I remember correctly. Sir Gareth Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) As for the sets, they'd be a spring wave. I'm sure we will get Star Lord's father, and also the Collector, hopefully! Benicia del Toro is back! It was revealed that: Benicio Del Toro will not be returning as the Collector, so don't expect another minifigure of him, unless it's from one of the animated series. Speaking of the animated series, does anything we could see cartoon/comic-based Guardians of the Galaxy sets, in the same vein as the Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man ones? Speaking of the animated series, does anything we could see cartoon/comic-based Guardians of the Galaxy sets, in the same vein as the Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man ones? Well, this year seems we know all that's coming out, and next year Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 will be coming out. So I say the most likely time would be 2018. Which I still doubt. Quote
Ashnflash Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I'm not sure if it makes sense to have Peter Parker and Spiderman in the same set... It is different with Batman in the Batcave set because it has the suit transformation feature. Let's not forget Ironman in the Malibu Mansion set.. It came with the plain white head to transfer out between Pepper and Tony.. Quote
Felkin Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I'm hoping for a Daredevil figure at some point. Looking at that new ears headpiece for Black Panther (& probably White Tiger), I'm thinking it would work for Daredevil; colour it red, spin it around... could we see Matt Murdock in a set sometime? Although I'm worried the "adult" TV show means it'll never happen. Quote

The X-Men films have bad potty mouth in them. So to be honest, I don't see why a polybag can't happen. Its the least I can expect to get on Daredevil Quote

The X-Men films have bad potty mouth in them. So to be honest, I don't see why a polybag can't happen. Its the least I can expect to get on Daredevil There was no Deadpool movie at that point; had there been, Lego probably would have avoided such an adult property. At the time of the set, Deadpool was featured in Marvel books of various maturity levels and Ultimate Spider-Man, a show for very young children, and was primarily seen as "that wacky guy at Comic-Con." It was pushing the boundaries a bit, but very few kids would have been inspired to buy the adult comics; kids rarely read comic books at all these days. Movies and television have a significantly higher profile, and I'm certain Lego doesn't want to associate their brand with R-Rated (18) properties such as the Deadpool film. Currently, Daredevil is also seen as an adult property, and Lego could damage their brand by linking themselves to him. However, Daredevil hasn't historically been as adult as the Netflix show; eighteen months ago, they could have made a Daredevil figure and nobody would have batted an eye. If Daredevil shows up in Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble or another kid-friendly property, then Daredevil can be seen as something other than a mature character. I'd quite like a Daredevil figure, so even though I despise the current crop of Marvel cartoons, I hope he shows up in one of them. Quote
