Jacob Nion Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Can entries for the mini challenge be used for category B? Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Yes, from the rules for Challenge B: If you use your Category C builds in your storyline, there is a limit of ½ of your builds may be from Category C builds. IE: If you want to use 3 of your category C builds, you must have three additional MOCs to add to your story. And everyone, don't forget about the mini challenge. If you have not read it yet, it is here! Quote
mccoyed Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Ska, have you clarified re: aftermarket pieces? Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Yep, it is the third line of the post, unless you think it needs to be further clarified? Maybe I did not answer the question fully, if so let me know. Ska, have you clarified re: aftermarket pieces? Quote
Gideon Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Is it (as usual) ok to build the base of an entry in any shape as long as the total number of studs is less than the limit? For example with 32x32 = 1024 studs would also enable 25x40 = 1000 studs? Quote

Gideon Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Yes. This has been the tradition, and we will keep it going here. Thanks for the clarification. I assumed that this was the case, but I was not sure if all the new talents were aware of this interpretation Quote
MKJoshA Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Ska, are there going to be any more story mocs to help us understand more about what's going on? I feel like the desert king's story is under developed. I have some of my own ideas to make my characters fit with the overall plot, but I want to make sure I'm not contradicting anything. Will we hear more about him any time soon? Quote

Will we hear more about him any time soon? Yes, there are three more chapters, I am just really overworked right now and slow on these last three, and the MOC for Chapter 18 is not finished, because I made it WAY too big... So that is my fault. There is one more DK chapter coming, but DK is the least fleshed out. If you have some good ideas for it, then shoot me a PM, there is still time to add some stuff for that side. OR, in the least I can tell you if your ideas are too far off based. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Can category B (and mini challenge) builds take place at official war zones? Just for story telling of course and without any influence on category c results. Quote

Gideon Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 (edited) Is it possible to swap sides for High Council members after a few weeks? Lord Damaximus is not considering supporting those Ulandian invaders is he?? OoC: I've been thinking of the same, it would be a very interesting development if the High Council falls apart during the course of the confict Edited March 8, 2015 by Gideon Quote
robuko Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 While the Duke supports Ulundus and the majority of the Board are of course for the High Council, Rasputin has openly declared for the rightful King of Kaliphlin. The PGTC must support him or face the consequences. Quote
Maxim I Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Those Ulandian invaders must vanish as they are a big concurrent for Stedor. If I swap sides, it will be the Desert King. It would be indeed very interesting when the High Council is falling apart :) Quote

That's why I suggest only High Council members can switch sides (as they are supposed to be neutral) Quote
Gideon Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Edit: ooc I suppose it would be quite difficult to keep track of, but it would certainly add to the political intrigue! Former allies on opposing sides and the like! Keeping track would not be that hard, a build supporting one side would still be counted towards that side. So switching in the middle of the conflict means that everything built up to the switch is declared would mean supporting one of the other sides. So it would add to the political intrigue with late switches, but not affect the outcome that much? Quote

So it would add to the political intrigue with late switches, but not affect the outcome that much? If all historical builds are included then that could affect the outcome greatly by the end of the challenge - imagine if someone built lots of entries and then switched, it could totally change the outcome! It might be better to allow anyone to switch once during the whole contest, and builds after the switch count towards the new side. This better simulates that historical builds were contributions towards the war efforts of the previous faction, and new builds contribute towards the new faction. Maybe SkaForHire will have a better idea of how to do this? Quote

And as all build threads are labeled according to the faction it's built for, regular builders can't change it even if they turn their coat. Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 May i sign up for the High Council please, or Ulandis if that is too full. :) The High Council is definitely too full. Seriously though, Ulandus really needs some more members, we have by far the smaller amount in any case and especially when you consider that Gunman said he probably wouldn't be able to build much, that leaves only nine of us!
