The Legonater Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Vehicle-based sets are more recognizable, offer more play opportunities, and are generally more popular among kids than scene-based sets. Kids, what do they know ? Quote
sok117 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I have always secretly hoped for a small jedi training set, with a couple of padwans, yoda, his repulsorlift, training dorids, and some scenery. Quote

Like this one? (pedro's award-winning Jedi Mission Battlepack - one of my most favorite MOC of all time ) TLG, please release something like this. Quote
The_Customizer Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 All I can say to this is Wookie, Ewok, and Gungan Battlepacks FTW! JK. But seriously, more Battlepacks would be nice, and maybe a few cheap sets, with droids! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 But seriously, more Battlepacks would be nice, and maybe a few cheap sets, with droids! I guess it's safe to say that Battlepacks won't go away anytime soon. We'll always get at least two every year, though one or two more per year won't hurt either. The upcoming Battle of Naboo set seems to be a cheap way to get 8-9 droids in one set... Quote
Skafte Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 What I would really like is a UCS R2-D2. Imagine about 30cm (a foot) high, with lots of fiddly hidden arms, propellers (perhaps even jets). I guess about 2500-3000 pieces, since it would take a lot of Technic pins and stuff for the details, but I would like the main build to be with normal bricks and plates. I've searched (not thoroughly) for a MOC, but drawn blanks. I might have to build one myself... Quote
Commander Laquiet Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 While I like the current Battle of Endor, I would love to see a massive diorama of the battle, with lush forest, multiple AT-STs, an Ewok army, satellite dish... However I consent this is probably wishful thinking, and shall have to result to Bricklink and my MOCing skills as compensation. In the meantime I shall have to content myself with the more realistic hope of a Sandcrawler battlepack, complete with three Jawas and several junk-bits-and-pieces droids. Quote

Skafte Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 There's the Technic one and the Mindstorms ones, but they don't have all the features you want. I have them both, but they are really small and far from "complete" - too much air in them... I'm talking a Darth Maul Bust-type UCS! But with more Technic detail, obviously. Quote

If I have to give you a tag name, it would be" The Master of One-Liners". Back on topic, I was browsing through flickr and saw this wonderful creation. How I wish TLG could release something like this. Edited September 16, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
Oddibossity Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Personally, I (being a musician) would LOVE to see a Bith Band set. I just think that would be AWESOME! http://www.flickr.com/photos/9104312@N08/4975358173/ This pic reminded me to post a wish. Quote

I think it has great chances of becoming a set, probably in an updated Mos Eisley Cantina. Plus, it's easily doable, just one new alien head mold x 4 + musical instruments = Bith Band! Quote
Oddibossity Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Also an EP2 set in one of the bars- tonnes of aliens and droids in new scenery In fact, ANYTHING from episode 2. Haven't seen any proper sets for ages (since Hailfire and Spider droids were classified as 'Clone Wars'). They could use a PROPER PADME as well... Quote

I get one of those! Also an EP2 set in one of the bars- tonnes of aliens and droids in new scenery In fact, ANYTHING from episode 2. Zzz Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 In fact, ANYTHING from episode 2. Haven't seen any proper sets for ages (since Hailfire and Spider droids were classified as 'Clone Wars'). They could use a PROPER PADME as well... We got some E3 sets this year: the Arc-170, Tri-Droid, Palpis Shuttle, Swamp Speeder. Even a magent set! It seems alright for TLC to release these, and trying to avoid the main characters that also appear in the CW, since the TV series is still closer to E2. So my guess is, that if the series moves along and gets closer to E3, there might be a chance to get a few new E2 sets. No big overlapping there then. If they would include the characters that appear on the show, well, that is another thing and I doubt it. They seem to avoid confusing customers, or the buyers of the sets, parents who don't have a clue about their child's hobby. (Anakin/Vader and Palpi are an exception of the rule since they underwent some heavy .. emm .. let's call it "facelift" during E3, so they might be different enough to their CW counterparts) This might be the current TLC guideline in the moment imho, but I might hopefully proved wrong soon! (When there will never be any PT sets anymore except CW -- - nooo! ) Quote

I'd go for something like " Quite Agreeable " But BOT, I'd absolutly love a new Ep.2 set. I've been holding out for an Arena set for the longest time now. Quote
Diaaabo Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 As for minifigs, my wishes go for Tusken Raiders, Geonosians, 501st Phase II Clone troopers, fleshie Padme, Luminara, more Ewoks, Twileks, and aliens in general. Banthas would also be very welcomed. As for sets, Bail Organa's speeder, a reedition of the regular TIE Fighter in gray, Obi-Wan's JSF, decent size Hailfire, new podracers and some more civil vehicles. Endor BP with stormies/scouts and rebels/ewoks would be lovely. Quote

Walter Kovacs Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 We've already gotten Raiders, Geonosians, Clones, Luminara, Twileks, Obi's JSF, and a decent-sized hailfire... I for one wouldn't mind seeing Tusken Raiders and Luminara released again. Tuskens only came in one set, which I missed during a dark age. Same for Luminara, who was a LULS on top that. Geonosians were only in one set, but I don't feel any real need to have many of them. They seem so minor, considering how little they actually did during the Battle of Geonosis. And I've said it before (most likely earlier in this thread, actually): Where is the UCS TIE Fighter. I can't think of any ship as iconic as the standard TIE that hasn't had a UCS model done. Aside from the X-Wing and Millenium Falcon, it's the only spaceship that appeared in all three of the OT films. And I'd consider it more iconic than the Y-Wing, Naboo N-1, Delta 7 and Imperial Shuttle, all of which have already had a UCS model. It's about time, LEGO. Do you hear me out there. Quote

Diaaabo Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 We've already gotten Raiders, Geonosians, Clones, Luminara, Twileks, Obi's JSF, and a decent-sized hailfire... We had Tuskens, Geonosians, Luminara, Obi's JSF, a Technic Hailfire and one miniature System Hailfire... We never had 501st clones and we only have ONE Twilek. I know some of the things I mentioned aren't really new, but we haven't seen most in a long time. With so many Snowspeeders reedited, it can't hurt to wish for those figs, can it? ;) Quote
Clone OPatra Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 We never had 501st clones and we only have ONE Twilek. Make that two Twileks. Don't forget Bib Fortuna. I would like to see some EpII stuff as well, but I know that's unlikely to happen. Besides for the ships already made when EpII was released, I really can't think of many more set-worthy things from that movie. Besides for re-dos of the Coruscant Chase, Slave I (very unlikely to happen at this point), and Anakin on the speeder with some Tuskens, I'm not sure what LEGO could come out with. Sure, a "save Padme from bugs" or "droid factory" playset, but that's never the sort of thing TLG makes for Star Wars. Quote
Diaaabo Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Ohhhh right, I forgot Bib! But still, he has been out of production for some years now. The geonosians might be the less flexible characters here, even though they appeared in the CW series. However, we have Tuskens in Ep. I, II, IV, prolly EU too. Luminara for Ep. III/CW, Padme for the whole PT/CW, Twileks all over the series even as minor characters. Quote
