Raphy Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Methinks we need a Carbonite Freezing room. That would really be cool - with a price tag around $70, maybe, with new Han, Leia, Chewie, Vader, new Boba Fett, a couple of Stormies and a couple of those little grunty dudes that personally froze Han. With nine minifigures, that might be asking a lot, but it's possible, isn't it? Quote
Piranha Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Everyone should just double the suggested prices for a more accurate TLG price scheme. I will have to start censoring my price figures because I might be stuck on the good old days Raphy any cloud city set would be great and I like the idea of multiple rooms or so in different sets. However no Boba I just bought the Slave 1 and him to stay exclusive to that set forever Unless LEGO includes him with the same printing as the first cloud city boba but on his blue arms/legs, then I will hate TLG and love them Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 X-, Y-, and B-wings are around $50 themselves, so you're looking at the higher end of your suggested price. And an A-wing wouldn't fit in, plus it and the B-wing weren't invented at the time of the Battle of Yavin. (and who would know of their predecessors other than us dedicated geeks?) But on the other hand, who's to say kids would even know? LEGO wouldn't even have to say they were predecessors; kids would just assume the Alliance also had A-wings and B-wings during Yavin. They could throw in a R-22 Spearhead, which were supposedly in the battle. It is the A-wing predecessor. They won't, though. Oh, it's nice to able to say it again: Bah, retcons! Nope, 30 Rebel ships at Yavin, and only X-wings and Y-wings. Quote

Piranha Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Well some more EP3 ideas I posted this one in the BP thread but here again aswell 501st Battlepack $10-15 50-100 parts Includes 4 501st EP3 or Phase II Clone troopers. if TLG wants one of them to be Appo then that would be fine. They also could do 1-2 regular and 1-2 501st which would be ok but 4 is better. random BP parts vehicle turret or so. Bail Organa's speeder $20-50 100-300 parts includes Bail Organa's speeder, landing platform, Bail Organa, 1-3 501st Troopers and a generic jedi. Mustafar $50-100 500-1000 parts possibly various volcanic landscapes and the landing/structure areas, includes EP3 Anakin, Obi , Padme, possibly R2 and C3PO and maybe Anakin's JSF Kashyyyk Battle: $50-100 includes huts, trees, forest, wookie dragon flyer, swamp speeder or speederbike, walker or alike. CIS spider droid or other misc. figs include chewbacca, wookie warriors, tarful, yoda, 1-4 battle droids, commander gree, kashyyyk clones (green markings) or kashyyyk trooper with ARF helmet or so in sand green I would also like to see incorporated into some set a jetpack EP3 trooper like in BF2 with dark blue markings and a jetpack. Fives Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I just saw the season finale of the CW, and now I think that a Trandoshan hover speeder thing looks like it could be a very possible set. Price: $24.99 CAD Minifigures: Trandoshan hunter x2 (possibly one plain and then the leader), Ahsoka Tano (season 3 outfit), and maybe Chewbacca. I think it would be really cool, and it is a small enough vehicle to be done as a set that size. Quote
Mr Man Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 That sounds quite a reasonable set, about the size, price, piece and fig count of the swamp speeder. They have Chewi, the Bosk head, and the Ahsoka head, and for the most part the speeder that I can remember (only having seen the episode this morning ) can be made without and special, or new bricks. Blackknight112 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I think it's just to unknown to be a real lego set. but perhaps in a battle pack? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I think it's just to unknown to be a real lego set. but perhaps in a battle pack? BPs are real LEGO sets. And honestly, I've seen far more obscure canon vehicles in sets than BPs. *cough*NIghtspeeder*cough* BPs are usually recognizable personal craft if they aren't non-canon. Plus I doubt that hover thing could be made well with the 60-70 pieces that are standard to BPs now. Unless they go for an overly simplistic approach like the '07 Clone BP's BARC or the Rebel Scout Speeder. Quote

It would need to be about the same size as the new Ewok set or the Swamp Speeder (I'd like the price of the Ewok set, but the minifig count of the Swamp Speeder). Also, side note about the last episode called "Wookiee Hunt", did anyone else notice the Crystal Skull from Indy 4 sitting on the mantle behind the chair in the 'throne room' of the Trandoshan base? Deathtino Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I would love to see Dash Rendar's Outrider. It was such an iconic ship from the expanded universe that it even got digitized into the Original Trilogy. The Outrider came from the huge success also known as Shadows of the Empire which spawned nearly everything Star Wars related except a film. I think it has enough fans to make it a success for Lego plus they've already made a version from the Star Destroyer set. It would be priced cheaper than the Falcon and include Dash Rendar and his droid, Leebo. I would also like to see the 4-engined Naboo Royal Cruiser. It would be an impressive and ambitious lego set but likely expensive and huge as well. Quote

It could come with Dash and Leebo, and then maybe just some Stormies like in the game. Quote

There's other EU ships I like better, but then again I only read the book. Personally, if they're ever going to do more EU sets they at least need to make the Outrider, and something from the Thrawn Trilogy. Quote
StoutFiles Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 SotE was huge in the mid 90's, but TLG's target audience would have no idea what The Outrider is or why they should pay 100+ for it. I watched a Let's Play on YouTube for the N64 SotE game (loved that game) and the guy reviewing it kept calling it the Falcon. I'd buy it of course but many wouldn't...TLG won't take a risk with a big EU set unless their smaller EU sets ever sell well. Quote

The problem with TLG is that they pick bad sets from the EU. No one wants a TIE Crawler, and few want a Defender. Quote
Fives Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I think an Outrider would sell WAY better than the Crawler and the Defender, Little kids will look at it and say "Wow! Look at that different version of the Falcon! That looks cool!", and everyone else would be really happy too! And Dash would make a great minifig! Quote

The Chimaera... Really, there are some pretty neat Expanded Universe starships that would make great sets: - E-wing (Dark Empire) (Look at that funny-looking X-wing daddy!) - K-wing (Black Fleet Crisis) (Look at that big airplane thing daddy!) - V-wing airspeeder (Dark Empire) (Look at that funny-looking snowspeeder Daddy!) - Katana playset (Thrawn Trilogy) (Look it's Luke Skywalker on a big bad guy ship daddy!) - Tandem X-wing (Crimson Empire) (Look daddy this X-wing can have two people riding in it!) - UCS Eclipse... And those are just a few... Quote
Fives Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Hey, on Star Wars.com there is a new teaser already for season 4 of the CW. It looks pretty epic, and I have a feeling we will be seeing some more Mon Calamarians in the future. Here is a link to the site: http://www.starwars.com/ Quote

And those are just a few... We'll never ever get those ships, especially a UCS Eclipse. EU sets don't sell well and most of your choices are pretty obscure. That said I'd love a V-wing, as well as a Z95 and Kyle Katarn's ships and the Ortana from XWA and the Ebon Hawk. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 If they give us a UCS Eclipse, and I doubt they would, they'd better give us the UCS Executor first. I think the E-wing could make a good small starfighter set, but it should be packaged with something more recognizable. The K-wing, on the other hand, is too big to be packaged and it doesn't have nearly enough appearances to make a good set. Quote
simonjedi Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 If they give us a UCS Eclipse, and I doubt they would, they'd better give us the UCS Executor first. We'll get a UCS tool that Jar Jar dropped in Anakin's pod before we get a UCS EU set. An Executor is quite likely though. Possibly in a few years. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Yah I'm really surprised there hasn't been an Executor set. There's been a Devastator (beginning of ANH). In a way there have been scenes from the executor before. (6211). Wait the Exector with the Death Star II Quote
