Are you sure of this, Jay? When I looked at the Official Star Wars illutrated guide made by Oxford, there are only Green BARCs. The white ones were the Swoop-troopers, as seen later on. *wacko*

Swoop-troopers? Haven't heard that one. Anyway, here's what Gaia on FBTB had to say:

Note that the AT-RT driver should rather look like a scout trooper. You can recruit your spare Imperial scout troopers in your Republic army:

Though, some AT-RT drivers are green (like the BARC troopers; for an view, click the link above and see the second picture) and pilot both AT-RT and turbo tanks.

They're not swoop troopers, they're just called scout troopers. The swoops were the bikes they rode on Endor. I'm not so sure if white was ONLY for scout troopers though, the green might have been because they were on Kashyyyk, but if that was the case, they would have been green on Endor too...I'm guessing the BARCs are green, and scout troopers are white.

Actually, they ride Speeder Bikes. Notice that the Bikes from AT-AT, AT-TE, Speeder Bikes, and Ewok Attack, are a bit different from Owen's Swoop in Tusken Raider Encounter.

Cumon give the guy a break. When you start correcting every little detial you start sounding like a geek ;)

Nope. They aren't ARCs. As I said before, there are only a certain number of ARCs because they are Clones whom were specifically trained by Jango Fett himself, when he was alive, thus explaining what he was doing on Kamino.

And because I just *know* someone will call me wrong and call himself right all the time, here's proof.

Proof.

Anyhoo, Lego2000, I think you are taking that a bit too literally there. Just because BARC has ARC in it doesn't mean it is an ARC. But believe in what you want to, I don't give a hoot.

Finally this is setlled :-D ;)

Just a question here: are ep 2 clones ARCs??? I'm asking because of the helmet.

Reading the text, I don't think so but I still wonder about the difference of helmets between ep 2 and ep 3 - is it due to difference troops or just to make a better link to ep 4????????

Thanks in advance ;)

Well, the change in helmets was due to the improvement of the gear the Clones wore in the Clone Wars. You see, after realizing that building helmets without really good respirators really sucked when they were fighting chemical weapons. The weapons were introduced in the early days of the war on Naboo, when the Separtists unleashed massive amounts of chemicals on the Gungans, killing many.

Anyhoo, the ARC question is indeed a sticky wicket. ARCs do still exist, but I'm not entirely sure where or what they are now. You see, they COULD be commanders now, seeing how Odd Ball (Yes, that was his name), was the commander of a Blue Squadron during the siege on a Separtist fortress. He was one of the ARCs that was involved with the daring rescue mission of Ki-Ai and the rest of the Jedi whom were besieged by Grievous. Alpha also became a commander of another Blue Squadron on the same mission, seen with the new helmet.

However, what's wierd is that Commander Bly was not an ARC, yet he is a commander. Thus, I believe that ARCs are now Commanders alongside with other Commanders. Though most of me wants the ARCs to be an elite strike force that DOESN'T go evil. >-|

I have no clue as to that one. It's really odd, once the Empire takes over, it's almost like all of the ARCs, Commandos and ranks all somehow just die off. It's almost like the purging the entire army of brains!

Storm Commandos are like black scout troopers used for special ops. They are in several sources of EU (including Rebel Strike). I thought that mybe ARCs could be them but then I thought tehy would more likely be Republic Commandos (or RepComs)

I think Commander Cody might be the only BARC on Kashyyyk at the time of the battle.

1.commander cody isnt a BARC trooper

2.how do we know if commander cody is even on kashyyk

He was on Utapau.

Well, I DID post that on APRIL 23, before the movie was out.

That would be an easy MOC - paint a scout helmet black and put it on a TIE pilot torso. What do the RepComs look like? And wouldn't those be Republic rather than Empire forces?

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Storm commandos are more likely to be the Republic Commandos but empire-ized. If you get me *satis*
