I'm quite disappointed in the fact we are getting short legs. For the picture, does anyone know if lego will release stuff at NYCC?

I can not say for certain that they will, but if they did, I feel they would release the racers and only them. Its a familiar gimmick used in the Star Wars series, so now they wanna push it in another product. It's something they will want noticed. But that is just my opinion.

Well Lego Avengers the video game is confirmed for NYCC, don't know about anything else though

Maybe they'll show one or two of the Avengers Assemble sets, don't know, just my thoughts...

Just noticed that Mighty Micros share a concept with Microfighters SW series. But while Microfighters minifigs for some reason have normal legs, racers superheroes figs will have short legs. So what's Legos reason for this? So we would still buy normal sets to get normal superheroes minifigs? Even on this forums people were super excited for mighty micros, but after it was revealed that minifigs have short legs, almost no one is interested in Mighty Micros.

Yeah... The real draw for AFOL'S with the Micro's are getting Minifigures that only come in higher priced sets (Ultron, Captain Cold, Bane) in really inexpensive sets.

Whereas microfighters simply contain Minifigures for army building purposes, generic soldiers and pilots. On the Mighty Micros side though, that's probably just their point of view. The racers are for kids who just want their super heroes, and kids love cars they can drive around and smash. Then they can play with the good guy and the bad guy. That's their perspective: kids first, adults last. As much as I dislike this, it's been shown before that community feel of a set won't change it, like the capeless Jawas in the Sandcrawler which was shown a few months before its release.

Its easy to do just by looking at prices of these sets. 35 $ and 70$ respectively I think.

Is the release date of America for the Avengers Assemble sets the same for Europe?

I believe someon said that Europe will get the AA sets, the CA: CW sets, and the Mighty Micros all in March, whereas the US will get the AA sets in January and the others in March.

Not hard to figure out the leg difference between mighty micros and micro-fighters: MM is giving two vehicle builds and two minifigs for the same price you pay for 1 and 1 of MF. So you sacrifice the long legs.

To be honest, if the figures use the dual-molded mini-legs, I could see those as being quite useful. The dual-molded legs and arms are still new enough that there currently isn't a whole lot of color selection for folks who have customization in mind.

Can't say for sure but isn't it cheaper for Lego to use standart sized legs? They are used for almost every figure out there and Lego probably has a lot of them in their warehouses. But instead they use short legs? If it wasn't for short legs I would have bought all MM sets, but now iamb only getting 2 sets with figures which legs could be easily replace: Cap and Red Skull, Bane and Robin set. At least all these figs use unprinted legs of 1 color.

I don't think it is cheaper to use regular legs. A regular leg piece is 3 separate pieces, all of which have to molded individually and assembled by another machine. The there is also more plastic in a regular leg than a small.
