Duncan Young Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Helicopter is a much better build than I originally thought! Feels very solid compared to the others I've had and the stud shooters are cool. Combine harvester is another step up though, really cool! I love the bomb it shoots from the stud shooter along with all that fluorescent yellow green. 2 great vehicles which makes a change. The tractor steals the show for me though :D I love the farmer and thought the build for the tractor was really fun, great little addition to an already cool set. The minifigs speak for themselves - great to get another scarecrow variant, same with bats (again, I like the green highlights on him!), the farmer is brilliant.. I have a strange obsession for the civilians (like the banana truck driver) but killer moth and blue beetle sit shoulders above the rest with regards to the minifig selection.. Awesome additions. Chuffed I picked up this set! Cheers for the recommendation Duncan! Glad you like it! I definitely agree that Killer Moth and Blue Beetle are great, Scarecrow is my first version of him so was pleased with him.
Captain Britain Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Thanks, very helpful. Apologies - I missed a picture of the tank down and closed (I took it but it came out really blurred.. hopefully this gives you the idea though?) Deathstroke77 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 NIce, looks very cool I must admit, as does the rest of the Harvester. Will definitely be getting this set when I get the money (while it is cool, I must get the other 2 first, mainly due to the fact the figs are much more awesome. Killer Moth looks cool, never really been a fan of Blue Beetle), thanks for the pics.

Was meant to be for my birthday but now it's turned up my other half said I may as well just open it anyway so fair play. Killer Moth looks much better in person too I found. Let me know what you think of the Killer Croc set if you get it before I do. It appears the German Football Team minifigs have just become a priority for me!
Deathstroke77 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 No-one's really coming here anymore, and I think the time has come for the 2017 thread. Obviously not now, but I see rumours incoming soon for 2017, and a new thread starting up.
BlockLogo Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 This very thread was started almost exactly 1 year ago, so it's not unlikely that we'll have some rumors soon. But the summer wave hasn't been out more than a couple of weeks, and not at all in North America. Plenty more to discuss in this thread, I'd say...
Captain Nemo Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 No, we do not need to start a 2017 now. It's June. Most of the new sets have yet to even make it to stores, so we are jumping the gun a little bit--especially since I've yet to see any info on potential future sets that would warrant the need to create a new thread at this time. FYI Everyone: However, when the time comes for a new thread, we ask that Clone OPatra or I are the ones to create it. Previously, this was just done by various members rather spontaneously, and while that was appreciated, we would like that to not be the case in the future. Having a staff member create the important "year threads" ensures that we are the only ones (without the aid of the third-party member) able to update the all important first page, and thus keep all the necessary standards up in regards to format and release (or removal) of sensitive information. Thanks!
CM4Sci Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Darn. I don't think anyone here would be foolish enough to not make it... professional, though.
linnormlord Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Is anyone else freaked out by Captain Nemo's grouchy Joker goon face? Every time I see it I shudder.

Captain Britain Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Chuffed with these figs! Untitled by CaptainBritainDJW, on Flickr
Duncan Young Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Chuffed with these figs! Big fan of Ra's and Killer Moth. From 2015-16 Lego's put out obscure, accurate and just well detailed figures; Deathstroke, Black Manta, Martian Manhunter, Darkseid and Killer Moth to name a few :)

Every release I seem to get a new favourite haha. Ra's looks brilliant up close. Really enjoyed the build too.

Peasantseverywhere Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 This is probably nothing, but as I was flinging through the Club Magazine I came across a small puzzle based around the Killer Croc Sewer Smash set. Underneath this there was a trademark for Suicide Squad - So it seems Lego did actually have to trademark the sets even though they arent being branded with the Suicide Squad logo

blackknightrises Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Lego has release dates for these sets on the US S@H now. The Ra's set is $30 unlike the $40 that has been mentioned previously. Sorry if I am repeating information that someone might have already posted.
Deathstroke77 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 What the ****? That's not fair. That's basically £10 less in the US than in the UK. Not to mention they did that with the Black Manta set last year. Especially since it only has 270 odd pieces and relies almost solely on the figs to sell it, I'm pretty mad now.
Legocity2713 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 The Ra's set releases in July, instead of August. Just saw that on Shop @ Home. Weird that one set is being released while August 1st is the release for the rest... But hey I'm not complaining! These $30 sets are so great for the past two years! The new definitive $20 sets imo.

No, me too, every time I see it, I think it'll be the last thing I'll ever see "Criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot." - Batman Is it wrong that I consider most of these guys A-listers and think of guys like Penny Plunderer and The Ten-Eyed Man as obscure? I'd say the same, for the most part. We've gotten characters as low as C-List in my opinion. It's interesting, though, how characters can raise through the ranks just because of how low they are, like Killer Moth. People only really seem to know about him because he's a low-list joke, like Polka Dot Man or Crazy Quilt.
