With current superhero films, and I fear the DC films especially, going for 'realism' it often means that only one side gets vehicles that will translate into interesting material for sets. I'm beginning to get tired of seeing generic trucks and helicopters in the Marvel film sets, as well as in Licensed themes like the Ninja Turtles movie sets, and now it will be in DC as well. These things aren't inherently bad, but if the generic trucks and helicopters from DC's movie universe are all black as some set photos would suggest, it will be disappointing and dull.

I wish the DCU filmmakers would give the bad guys slightly zanier vehicles or at least color schemes, just so that we'd have more interesting LEGO sets!

I take it you haven't seen the Jokers car.:grin::wink:

I posted a custom painted 2016 Suicide Squad-esque Harley Quinn figure that I found on Instagram a few days ago.

Now, here is a '66 Catwoman custom painted figure with the domineering cat girl's hairpiece. I'm only posting it so that we can get a better idea of what we could be getting next year. Very cool to see a physical version I guess.

If the Batwing set is $70 I would personally just like to a 700 piece Batwing. Both Marvel and Star Wars sets get great builds in bigger sets when most of the pieces go to one build and not a bunch of smaller ones.

Then again the Batwing in Dawn of Justice looks very......weird. Just weird.

Yeah, it is definitely a very weird shape with lots of very weird angles. I can't wait to see how Lego is going to pull it off.

For some reason it seems to remind me of the Arkham Knight Batwing. Either way I think they would make the set like around 550-700 pieces using up top 200 pieces on the batwing 150 pieces on the helicopter. And around 200 to 300 pieces on a small lex corp build. If we do really get 6 or 7 figures then this would be a dream set.

Except, there doesn't seem to be any Lexcorp building in the set.

A little off topic (and not sure if this has already been discussed), but how will they pull off a Flash vs. Cold Racer set? I can't think of any way to justify a Flash based vehicle.

More like 400 for Batwing and 300 for helicopter. Which also uuuuuggggghhhh. Another helicopter? This is the 6th one in the full line of Super Heroes and the third for DC.

Flash has had vehicles before. It's totally pointless, but he has the Flashmobile.

If these are silly little cars in the same ilk as Star Wars microfighters, as I think has been stated by the rumor gods, they don't need to be justified or make sense anyway. They're supposed to be silly and nonsensical.

Personally, I think it's great that LEGO is injecting some whimsy and humor with stuff like microfighters and now these racers. Plus it means minifigures in semi-almost-affordable sets (though I think no matter what country you're in, the microfighters were a bad deal for the money and these racers might be the same).

It would be really awesome if those racer sets actually had cars/vehicles/planes/boats, or whatever, that were actually cool, and practical. I am, unfortunately, expecting them to be stupid little cars, but one can dream, right.

Since everyone thinks the Doctor's hair would be great on Joker, I decided to edit it. Do you think this is what we'll see this year? Hoping this isn't speculation, I'm fairly certain we'd be getting this or the old hairpiece in the racer.

The hair was in the highest quality I could find. :shrug_oh_well: (I'm not a professional Photoshopper so don't be rude if it looks like crud.)

I personally think it looks great and works as a great joker, it reminds me of a arkham verse joker. I could definetly see this happening.

Could easily be. Batman vs. Joker is pretty boring for most collectors so a desirable part should be included.

The hair looks pretty good actually, and while we are on the topic: is the Batman in the racers set gonna be gray or black?

Sorry if this was already answered.
