I Never said that Starcraft is "too old" of a game/franchise to have LEGO sets, but when a company announced their main Starcraft game gets no new content updates (posted 15 October 2020), that means they are looking toward either a sequel or a new game entirely, they even say so in the article : https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/starcraft2/23544726/starcraft-ii-update-october-15-2020 Just bad timing to release LEGO Sets on a game on "life support" (still balance updates etc) when other Blizzard games have new expansions coming out and much more "hype" around it. Is Starcraft 2 a dead game? no, it's just not in the spotlight right now. I still believe the planned 2020 Overwatch sets weren't 100% canceled, but moved towards Overwatch 2 release instead based on the original set names having Overwatch 2 elements in it. Blizzcon is usually the place they announce new games/hype but this year it's canceled, moved to early 2021 (Online February 19-20) Overwatch sets were showcased at Blizzcon 2019 as well, with 1 Blizzcon store exclusive LEGO set. As for the NES, yes it's old but also brought back into attention with games like Mario Maker having the 1985 level style, and Mario celebrating their 35 anniversary, perfect timing with the LEGO Super Mario theme. NES games also can be played on Switch. Edited October 27, 2020 by TeriXeri Quote

Not trying to shut down your wish here, SC2 is a great game, considering the age of it, and personally still think it's a better universe for LEGO sets compared to Diablo. Of course a 1-off display set would be cool, like a Terran Battlecruiser or something, Overwatch had the larger Bastion display model as well. Personally I like the Warcraft universe a lot more, and it seems a bit more relevant considering Hearthstone, World of Warcraft + Classic still get content updates/expansions. Warcraft could tick boxes with Fantasy LEGO fans, while it's not exact Lord of the Rings or Warhammer, it does contain elements of each + more things like C'thulu/Old Gods, Pirates, Steampunk, and some Planets/Spaceships as well. I’d be more than happy with Warcraft as well. I played that a lot too before I jumped to the future. Fantasy Castle was a sort of WC theme & is, in my opinion, one of the best Castle themes they’ve done, especially in recent years. While I doubt TLG would take tournaments into consideration, SC is still very popular, but probably isn’t in the minds of their target audience...so from that view I understand it will likely remain a wish. Like you said, a one off 18+ would be a hit as that would better hit the mark of who would buy a SC set. Edited October 27, 2020 by Vindicare Quote
