Vindsval holds the compass in his hand and Concentrates on FINDING AMBER

Holding the compass out, the wheel of Vindsval's compass turns to the south west... then spins around to the east... only to spin around to the south west again. It continues pointing in those directions as long as Vindsval's thoughts linger on Amber Makepeace.

Curious, I must admit this is a strange new device. Two conflicting directions, but consistently so. East is as good as Southwest at this point. Unless . . . allow me to try this again.

The compass spins around fervently, although it falters when it lands towards the south on occasion.

It would seem that when someone moves frequently within the area it is hard to track them. But the Countess seems to favor destination in the south, while Makepeace travels from east to Southwest. Perhaps when we are closer to one of them it will give a clearer answer. Sorrow, you are our leader in this town, Althior suggests East, what do you say?

Althior continues to walk for a moment. "You're not a one man army. None of us are. So when we decide on a plan, I would expect that we go with that plan. If you had something else to say, you should've spoken up, but I do not; I will not accept someone acting against the decisions of the party."

When a decision is made, I will follow the will of the party. But I saw no reason to torture the girl any longer by discussing it in front of her. If I acted impetuously I apologize.

Vindsval continues to walk in silence beside Allthior. After a few steps he turns to look at Throlar only to see him scampering off on his own once again.

Vindsval chuckles, and grins toothily at Althior's comment. "I hope that is not an insult to my parentage friend. I have no Goblin blood running in my veins. I may be a halfblooded, but I am no feel beast. As far as the dwarf goes, I have pulled him from the line of fire once this day. If he chooses to end his path again, I will allow him to walk it."

With their new destination determined, the party heads for the East Gates. The party passes more people as the day seems to be picking up. When they reach their destination, they come to a small square, with various stalls and buildings surrounding it. In the centre of the square was an execution block, complete with a notched piece of wood. A small sign sat out next to an undead individual playing the accordion. To the party's left was a curious building, there was no signage but it seemed to be a shop of some kind.

To the right was a small saloon and inn, a billboard posted onto it's outer wall. A young dwarf and satyr were mingling worryingly outside it's doors.

As the party takes in their surroundings, they realize Throlar has ran off somewhere. Where could he be?

Striking his own path, Throlar heads for the Manor Gates. It seemed as if a lot of activity was going on, with a smith finishing setting up his stall, and a duo of living beings looking over a strange metal plate in the ground. The gates to Lyudmila's manor were guarded by a hefty looking guard.
