Throlar interupts Althior mid-thought. "You don't want to try talking to this creature? That was your only lead here, anyways," he points to the dog.

Posted

"I suppose we did have an agreement, didn't we." I smirk sadly.

"But I'm with Vindsval. I don't suppose you have any lodging to offer, Stine? Of course, we don't want to be hogging your barstools or your rooms - we'd pay our tab, all of it." I chuckle.

"I wonder what Althior and Throlar are up to, Vindsval..."

Posted

What is this of collecting tabs? Are you now a debt collector among all of your other many talents Friend Sorrow? You truly walk a broad path.

Vindsval chuckles low in his chest, a sound like the grating of boulders in a dry stream.

He looks to Stine.

I am certainly not one to leave a debt hanging over my head. When one has a head as large as mine, it is too easy a target as it is. I would certainly not expect you to offer lodgings out of the goodness of your heart. Though, I would certainly not turn down such an offer.

Returning his eye to Sorrow.

Would it be beyond hope to expect the two of them to both be standing when we meet again. The way they speak to one another, like an old bitter married couple, one would expect them to either be at one another's throats or in one another's arms. They are certainly a pair our Prophet and our Hunter. I mean no disrespect to his grace, but the dwarf certainly seems to crawl beneath his skin.

Vindsval picks up the small mug and sips thoughtfully at its foamy contents. He smiles appreciatively as the aroma of hops and bitters hits his nose.

Truly a fine brew Master Stine. He says before a yawn cuts his words off prematurely.

My apologies, but it has been a long couple of days. There has been much work to be done since we arrived here in your fine city. I do not suppose you have a room, or even a secluded corner in which I could unpack my bedroll and REST for a few hours. I fear I may not be much longer on my feet otherwise.

20442602159_7e9922e058_o.jpg

"Thank you for the compliments, sir." Stine replies, bearing his toothy grin. "If it's a room you want, I rent rooms for thirty gold. They're viable until this time tomorrow. I assure you that you'll have good rest on one of our beds. Although, considering the amount of people stuck in town, I'd take a room quickly."

"I suppose we did have an agreement, didn't we." I smirk sadly.

"They shouldn't be too hard to find. The only one you may have trouble with is that Frey. You can't miss him when you see him, but he's rather reclusive.

Same offer for you as your green friend. 30 gold for one room from now until this time tomorrow."

Vindsval listens to the barkeep, his brows raise at the price. But, when you are the only game in town...

Though your price seems somewhat steep, you have me at the proverbial crossroads. What say you Sorrow? Shall we rest our heals here this night and find our compatriots in the morn?

Though your price seems somewhat steep, you have me at the proverbial crossroads. What say you Sorrow? Shall we rest our heals here this night and find our compatriots in the morn?

QM Note: You only need to rest for one section of a day, but if you'd like to meet up with Tholar and Althior again, you'd need to rest for three sections, and then head in the same direction they're going.

Posted

OOC: ok thanks, once Sorrow replies I will probably rest for one section then we can go about trying to find the men who owe him money.

"Let's sleep until we can meet up with the rest of our crew, Vindsval."

I slide 30 gold across the counter.

Sorrow, shall we agree to sleep for one Portion of the Cycle, and then leave to find the debtors?

When he arrives at the doors he attempts each until he finds a door that can be opened with the key he was given. He pokes his head through the door and looks over the room before entering.

When he arrives at the doors he attempts each until he finds a door that can be opened with the key he was given. He pokes his head through the door and looks over the room before entering.

Eventually Vindsval finds his room. Looking inside, the room is lacking any windows, although a clock rests on the wall, showing the position of the sun and the moon. The bed looks comfortable, and a table and stool have been provided. It's a little cramped, but eventually Vindsval manages to drift into dreamland...

I nod in agreement that we would sleep for one cycle, and retire to my room...

Sorrow enters his room and prepares to go to sleep. He slips into the soft sheets and falls asleep...

Waking up abruptly, Vindsval quickly poisons his daggers (Roll of 4, Failure! Roll of 2, Success! -5 ether) and falls back asleep.

When the duo wake up again, they find that they've slept until the afternoon, the sun beginning to dip beyond the horizon. Stine remains at his place behind the bar, but a familiar figure seems to have entered the establishment. They both feel much more well rested.
