Althior puts on his Tin Helmet to conceal his identity. "Very well then," he says in a metallic voice. "Shall we head back to Last Chance then?"

"You know, that dog is probably the only thing I'd allow to get away with calling me a midget. Hmm? What? Oh yes, to the Last Chance!"

The East Gate Party

Waking up abruptly, Vindsval quickly poisons his daggers (Roll of 4, Failure! Roll of 2, Success! -5 ether) and falls back asleep.

When the duo wake up again, they find that they've slept until the afternoon, the sun beginning to dip beyond the horizon. Stine remains at his place behind the bar, but a familiar figure seems to have entered the establishment. They both feel much more well rested.

19881662533_29ef9de5b4_o.jpg

"Hey ho, mister necromancer and mister stabby stab! How's it going?"

20442602159_7e9922e058_o.jpg

"I hope you enjoy your stay, gentleman." Stine pulls out a tray from underneath the counter. "Can I offer you a complimentary chocolate?"

How very kind of you. Do you mind if I take two?

Vindsval reaches into the box of candies selecting two Golden Statue Shaped Pieces, deftly peels them from their wrappers and pops them into his fanged mouth. (Consumes two Henry awards, both bonuses to power)

Fine confections my friend, fine confections indeed. Before we retired to our rooms you mentioned a deal you had come to with Sorrow regarding some debts owed to you. Could you give me the details as well?

Vindsval nods to the young newly undead woman.

I am please to see you up and about my lady. Is the unlife all you had hoped it would be?

"Keeping your head on your shoulders and your heart in your chest, Diana, I hope?

I believe there's Carlos the priest, Wighty the merchant, and frey the wanderer. If you want to split up we can cover ground efficiently and hopefully get our tabs quick."

Posted

The two of us could easy cover one of the three at meet up for the third. Where would you like me to start?

"You can head to Carlos... After what he helped me do, I don't want to go there extorting gold. I can head to the tool shed and speak to Wighty

Vindsval looks at sorrow questioningly.

You have not spoken of what happened when I was "assisting" Throlar. Who is Carlos and where will I find him?

Posted (edited)

Then I will go broaden my spiritual horizons. Do you have any idea where we should meet to find this Frey?

"I would encourage you to, though I doubt you'll sway from the path of the wanderer.

I... legitmately have no idea."

Posted

"I Hold the Path to be the one true faith, but as there are many roads to but a single destination there are as many Paths to reach Enlightenment. The Wanderer force none to follow his ways save those who are offered up to him for judgment at the hands of his chosen.

Should we return to the courtyard outside this hall when we have completed our errand? And then decide where to travel to next to find this Frey?"

Posted

"May he light your way Sorrow. Then let us depart."

On his way out Vindsval turns to the barkeep.

"We will soon return with your due. We know not where Frey resides, but I will obtain that which the Monk Carlos owes you."

Vindsval leaves the saloon and goes to seek Carlos at the Temple.

Stine looks confused as he rummages through his basket.

20442602159_7e9922e058_o.jpg

"When did we start getting gold ones..."

Diane nods in approval, grinning and seeming fascinated by her new state of being.

19881662533_29ef9de5b4_o.jpg

"Yup, everything's going alright so far. It's a little weird, not feeling my pulse anymore. That and I can't really breath in air anymore, but hey, better than being dead, right?"

"Keeping your head on your shoulders and your heart in your chest, Diana, I hope?"

19881662533_29ef9de5b4_o.jpg

"For now at least. Um... would cutting off my head keep me alive? You're a necromancer, right? You got an answer for that? If I got impaled, would that kill me?" Diane seemed to have a lot of questions about her new state of being. Stine merely rolled his eyes.

The two decide to head out, with Stine wishing them the best in their hunt and Diane cheering them with a raise of her glass. Geoffrey said nothing.

Lesser Will-o-Wisp

Level 23 Dark Undead

Accompanied by his new undead Will-o-Wisp, Sorrow headed to the residential area to find Wighty. The area's less noisy and packed as it was earlier, although it might of had something to do with the time of day. It was now evening, and the setting sun casted a warm glow over the town as some of the population began to retire for the evening.

It seemed as if Wighty was packing up for the evening, his stall's wares being packed into a large chest.

A young undead girl solemnly lingered around the fountain, looking about ready to cry.

The Last Chance Party

Returning to the Last Chance, Althior and Throlar manage to get to the store just in time to see Brana lock the store up for the night as she waked down the steps and away from the building. By the looks of things, the store clerk hadn't noticed them yet. It was growing late, and the party was beginning to feel tired from all the running around. It was midnight, and it was the beginning of a new day.

Vindsval walks up to the fountain and kneels to dip a finger into the waters. He looks over to the girl and speaks softly.

What is wrong small one? Why do you appear to be so sad, on such a fine clear evening?

I glance to the glowing green head at my side. Was this thing ever alive? It was a demon. Am I just preventing it from snapping back to the void, or what?

"Wighty, sir... I hate to distrub you, but I'm here on behalf of Stie. He says you have some overdue tabs."

(Kinto, I equipped my Shield of Invisibility earlier.)

I see no such item in your inventory. Either that or I'm going senile.

Vindsval dips his fingers in the cold, but clear water. It seemed to be normal water, but the witch could see various glistening coins laying in it's stony depths. The young girl sniffled as Vindsval approached her.

"*sniff* I've-I've lost my bestest fwiend, and I don't know where to find him!"

Wighty looks at Sorrow curiously before seeming to clue things together.

"Oh, shoot! I forgot about that! Here, take the money due on my tab and tell Stine it won't happen again." Wighty delivers to Sorrow a small jingling purse with a bony hand. "My tab of seventy gold. That being said, can I interest you in anything before I close up shop?"

He continues to move his finger around in the water, tracing rune like patterns with eh tip of his nail on its shimmering surface.

My name is Vindsval, what is your name name? Who is your best friend? My companions and I have been traveling all over the city. Maybe I have seen him.

(I won it in the raffle, and it was kind of out there for everyone to see. So yeah, you're probably going senile.)

So you have. I've added it to your inventory, but it still doesn't make you invisible.

"*sniff* He's small, and cute, and fluffy, and I, and I..." She continues to cry as her words become jumbled.

The Residential Area Party

I accept the gold, happy Wighty was a reasonable man.

"No, don't need to buyanything at the moment. Do you know the whereabouts of a man named Frey?

"Fine, fine. I understand." Wighty replies. He gets a jittery look in his eye when Sorrow brings up the name Frey. "I'm sorry, no, generally one doesn't like running into Frey. He apparently only roams the town at night though, and he rushes back to his house before dawn. Sorry, mate."

Vindsval's face falls as the small girl breaks down into tears. He gently reaches out and pats her small back gently with his massive forefinger.

"There There little one. No need for tears. I have been helping the people of your city, and I promise you I will do everything I can to help you find your friend. But first I must speak to one of the holy men in this temple. But when I am done we will not stop until you are reunited. Does that sound like a good plan?

If you stay here, I will come back for you are soon as I am done in the Temple. I swear by my God that this is true."
