Asphalt Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Vindsval waves after the girl. Goodbye small one. May your path be long and filled with pleasant skies. His brow darkens for a moment after she moves from sight. Though what sort of a Path will one cursed with eternal childhood walk, The Wanderer on knows. Sorrow, what sort of being would curse their offspring with such an existence as that? Quote
Endgame Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 "...I would not know, Vindsval. Perhaps they died too young, and the parent did something out of grief that wasn't entirely level-headed. Or perhaps she's simply the child of an undead couple? I know I could reproduce." Quote
Endgame Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 "Lets meet Althior and Throlar at the safehouse and head to the cemetary." Quote
Asphalt Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 The ways of unlife, . . . The giant shakes his head. Yes, let us go find the others. Vindsval HEADS TO THE SAFEHOUSE Quote
Kintobor Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 Update will come tomorrow, as right now I'm away from my sets and I need to take some pictures. Quote
Kintobor Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Sorrow and Vindsval head back to the ratty house to meet up with Throlar and Althior. By the time they do it's the middle of the evening. As the two approach, they find a familiar face outside of the house. He looks sternly at them from atop his horse. "Well, er, they're right over there, and the other two are in the house-" "Thank you, Derelict, you can leave now. I have business to attend to. Where are your other two companions, Sorrow, Vindsval? I seek to speak with them as well." Quote
K-Nut Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Althior exits the house. "What's the matter, officer?" he sneers Quote
Asphalt Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Vindsval walks up to the horsed figure and looks down at him, weariness evident on his overly large features. His voice rumbles deep in his chest, boulders grating against cobbles. We are here captain, what word would you have with us? Quote
Duvors Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 "Ah, hello captain, what brings you here?" Quote
Endgame Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 "You wish to speak with us, sir?" I say, choosing my words carefully. Quote
Kintobor Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Strahd moves his arm into his arm and retrieves a letter with an official looking seal on it. "This is signed to you four. It's sender is the countess." Quote
K-Nut Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Althior quickly grabs the letter and opens it, reading it silently. Quote
Kintobor Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 QM Note: In that case, K-Nut, PM coming shortly. Quote
Asphalt Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Vindsval drums his fingers against his thigh. Well Althior, what does it say? Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Althior takes a moment to retread the letter, making sure it is legitimate. "It's from the Countess, inviting us to her mansion as soon as possible. We might as well try heading over there. It's our only lead so far," Quote
Asphalt Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I was beginning to believe no one in this town was capable of being straightforward. Let us Go To The Mansion Quote
Endgame Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 "I suspect a trap. Nevertheless, lets head there, post-haste." Quote
Duvors Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 "Yeeaahh, right, probably a trap. And I really wanted to go after that automaton too, ah well. Lead on." Quote
Kintobor Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) "I"ll be following you shortly then. I'm going to ensure the guard is on alert. Don't do anything rash." von Zarovitch gives the party a judgemental look before galloping off. The party heads off to the Manor and finds the streets empty. There's not a soul to be found. Making it to the Manor Gates, the party look up to find the moon at it's peak. It's midnight. The gates to Lyudmila's estate had been unchained. The guard was no longer at his post, and the iron gates blew in the breeze, creaking loudly. Stepping beyond them, the party came to the front of the imposing home of Countess Lyudmila. The building seemed to have no light coming out of it, infant the area was unnaturally dark, with the exception being a single lit torch on the path leading to the building's front porch. Perhaps the party was finally going to get some answers as to what was going on here... Edited December 16, 2015 by Kintobor Quote
Asphalt Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Vindsval walks slowly up to the front door, ducking between the skulls mounted on their columns. He turns to his companions. Shall we knock or simply let ourselves in? Quote
Duvors Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 "Well, there doesn't seem to be any reception committee, migt as well go in. Hang on a tick." Throlar grabbed the torch, holding it aloft. "Right, let's get going!" Quote
Kintobor Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 "Well, there doesn't seem to be any reception committee, migt as well go in. Hang on a tick." Throlar grabbed the torch, holding it aloft. "Right, let's get going!" Throlar attempts to grab the torch, but finds it fastened into it's post. It wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon. Quote
Endgame Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I knock, and, if no one answers, try the door. Quote
