Endgame Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Lyudmilla was Hexed, she could not have hurt me. "No need for healing, Vindsval. And as for Silvia... I will return her to her goddess when our mission is complete." I send all of my undead at Lyudmilla and attack Runic Ghoul A twice from the back. Same battle order. K-Nut Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Why are my spells being redirected towards the Runic Ghouls? Just because they absorb elemental damage shouldn't mean they attract it, correct? I thought they had to be targeted to recover health... Quote
Kintobor Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 I've got some things to fix for the next round, but seeing how there's some confusion on the Runic Ghoul, I'll help explain it now. Why are my spells being redirected towards the Runic Ghouls? Just because they absorb elemental damage shouldn't mean they attract it, correct? I thought they had to be targeted to recover health... Their passive special is what causes the spells to change target. Runic Ghoul C Level 25 Dark Humanoid *Absorbs elemental magic and attacks* HP: 350/350 Special: Circle of Sealing- The Runic Ghoul will blast a spell at the party, having a 1/3 chance to cause the sealed effect. Passive Special: Magic Homing- All elemental spells will target a random Runic Ghoul instead of hitting it's original target if a Runic Ghoul is still alive. Drops: Grand Tonic I'm not sure on the targeting issue, but the Runic Ghoul's Passive Special causes all elemental damage cast to target a random Runic Ghoul. Perhaps I should've been more clear about it, but until they're all dead, elemental spells will heal a random Runic Ghoul. Sorry if there was any confusion! Quote
Duvors Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 "Althior, if you put me first in the battle order then I'll be able to absorb the Countess's free hits for you! And stop using spells, you're just healing the enemy! Can't you just hit them with your staff? Or try healing Sorrow?" Throlar attacks Runic Ghoul C from the back row. Quote
Endgame Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 "The Countess should still be Hexed. Free hits are in our favor." Quote
K-Nut Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 But aren't I still targeting Lyudmila? Even if the spells are redirected she was my oringal target, so I shouldn't be getting free hits from her, right? I should also be getting a curse roll if my spell is successful no matter if it heals the enemy or not. In other words, should you be rolling for me cursing the Runic Ghouls then? "If elemental attacks are being redirected, you should probably keep your undead away from the battle for now. Meanwhile, I should be able to Heal Runic Ghoul A from the back row," Quote
Asphalt Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 OOC: They are Dark not undead. Healing them would just heal them. QM Note: Okay, so I made a serious blunder in accidentally making the Runic Ghouls practically unkillable, so I've changed their type from undead to dark. Sorry about that. I'm also going to call that Shield spells that hit more than one target don't apply for the Runic Ghoul's Passive Special. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Woops I forgot we changed that "Do you need a heal then, Sorrow?" Quote
Kintobor Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 Okay, so do you guys need time to finalize things, or am I good to run the round? It seems like some things need to be either edited or finalized. Quote
Asphalt Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 If Sorrow was hurt during the last round (which he questioned) Vindsval will ACtion 1 Heal Sorrow from the back row. Action 2 Attack Ghoul B with Xeno Whip From Back Row. If Sorrow was not injured in the last round he will attack Ghoul B Twice from the Back Row with the Xeno Whip. The only other thing that Vindsval is waiting for is the gold from his shield roll in round one. Quote

Endgame Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Assuming I wasn't hurt last round (which I shouldn't have been) everything is good to go. Quote
Kintobor Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 My assumption is that a Witch's hexed only lasts for one round. That was me buggering up Witch because it's about time I finally did. I'll allow you time to reconfigure things, but as far as I'm concerned, Lyudmila is no longer hexed. If you'd like to dispute it, I'll allow it in the FAQ. Quote
Asphalt Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 You labeled it as three rounds remaining the first time. I think that is the confusion. I say we just move on and can clear it up in the FAQ later. I would prefer to avoid any more delays of possible. Quote
