K-Nut Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Althior makes his way inside. "What have you got?" Quote
Asphalt Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Vindsval waves goodbye to the woman and follows the other members of the party to the "Store". He kneels down and peers through the window into the shop. Quote
Endgame Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I stand behind Throlar and glance at the animal tucked beneath the store. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 26, 2015 Author Posted July 26, 2015 Althior makes his way inside. "What have you got?" Althior steps inside to find the store relatively well stocked in many items, including a few items he could tell looked regional. A pale woman turns to him, noticing his browsing. She seems less than thrilled. "Oh, customers. Joy. Welcome to the Last Chance Convenience and Goods. How may I help you?" She asked in a disinterested tone. Throlar took a look inside the caldron. Looking into the cauldron, Throlar found a rather large apple. However, it seemed rather rotten. I stand behind Throlar and glance at the animal tucked beneath the store. The animal in question seemed to be a large mouse. It seemed less interested in the party and more into sniffing around on the ground for scraps. Quote
Asphalt Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Vindsval clears his throat softly so as not to startle to woman, she may not be used to giant heads looking through her shop window. We heard of your business from several townspeople, What is it that you have for sale? Do you have any specialities? Quote
Duvors Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 (edited) Throlar, disgusted by his lack of luck, turned to the mouse. <Well hello there mouse, how are you today?> he said in the most diplomatic fashion possible. Edited July 26, 2015 by Lord Duvors Quote
K-Nut Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 "Just show me your inventory," Althior states, simply. Quote
Endgame Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Content with leaving the little rodent to his business, I head into the store, and begin browsing their wares. Quote

Vindsval clears his throat softly so as not to startle to woman, she may not be used to giant heads looking through her shop window. We heard of your business from several townspeople, What is it that you have for sale? Do you have any specialities? The pale woman takes a better look at the party before sticking her nose up. "I beg your pardon, sirs, but I don't think you'll find anything up to your tastes here. Have a good day." Last Chance Convenience and Goods requires 3 Reputation to get serviced in. Throlar, disgusted by his lack of luck, turned to the mouse. <Well hello there mouse, how are you today?> he said in the most diplomatic fashion possible. The mouse seemed more interested in finding scraps of food than it did Throlar's attempts at diplomacy. Quote
K-Nut Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Althior scoffs "In a place this desolate, you really think you can afford turning away business? Like anyone else in this town is up to your standards..."Althior turns around in a huff, exiting the store. "Where to next? Perhaps we should split up, cover more ground. We could get a better lay of the land that way," Quote
Endgame Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 "Wait a moment." I turn around, facing the shopkeeper. "Excuse me, Miss... I don't suppose you need anything done? We have a very sick girl who we think could use a product rom this store, and if you need some work carried out, we'd be happy to do it." Quote

Endgame Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I walk out the door, dissapointed. "It seems even some negative attitudes persist post-mortem." Quote
Asphalt Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Vindsval stands and clenches his massive fist. Barely restraining himself fro slamming it down on the room of the shop. I am beginning to grow irritated with this town. To be treated as an inferior beast by the living is bad enough, but to be treated so by Night Walkers is beginning to wear on my patience. If the only way we are to make progress on our journey is to diverge our paths than so be it. Quote
K-Nut Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 "It seems even some negative attitudes persist post-mortem." "Not everyone ends up like you and me. Most people, myself included at a time, prefer for their suffering to end after their life, not to have to suffer in un-life so to speak," I am beginning to grow irritated with this town. To be treated as an inferior beast by the living is bad enough, but to be treated so by Night Walkers is beginning to wear on my patience. If the only way we are to make progress on our journey is to diverge our paths than so be it. "You and me both Vind. You and me both..." Quote

Duvors Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Throlar rolled his eyes and dropped the rotten apple core in front of the mouse before going off to look at the coffin. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 Throlar rolled his eyes and dropped the rotten apple core in front of the mouse before going off to look at the coffin. Throlar drops the rotten apple in front of the mouse, who sniffs at it before contently devouring it. His squeaks of content and happiness ring in Throlar's ear. The empty coffin seemed old and worn. It seemed as if someone rested here at some point. Perhaps the Last Chance also sold coffins? Quote
K-Nut Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Althior looks to Sorrow. "It's your call, boss," Quote
Endgame Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) "No need to call me that, Althior. Anyway, lets investigate the caped folk at the South Gate." Edited July 27, 2015 by Endgame Quote
K-Nut Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 "It's just an expression," Althior says. Or was it? He was sure he'd heard it somewhere. He thinks on it as he follows. Quote
Duvors Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 (edited) "Well well well, a 'used coffin' salesman, or woman if the voice I heard is anything to go by." he chuckled at his own joke. Asphalt Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Let us hope we find a warmer reception there. This shop leaves much to be desired. Vindsval stomps after the his two companions. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 29, 2015 Author Posted July 29, 2015 "Well well well, a 'used coffin' salesman, or woman if the voice I heard is anything to go by." he chuckled at his own joke. Turning back to the mouse he said <Did you like that?>, still being diplomatic. The mouse sounds rather content and happy, although he does seem more focused on his food than the dwarf. QM Note: Throlar, are you going to go somewhere else? Or follow the rest of the group. Quote
