x105Black Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) I agree, 4 x 1 is too thin. I'm guessing it's the same old 4 x 2 piece, as proposed in the Marie Antoinette minifigure. I actually do like the tail. Sharks need tails. I hope the scary knight is good. Can't wait to see pics of that one. Same here. Really looking forward to it. BrickFit26 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Unfortunately the queen isn't getting a sweet new beehive hair piece, but the "new" dress looks legit: Found this floating around Reddit. The queen looks great. Too bad they didn't give her that beehive/victorian style hairpiece. . I hope we get more leaks soon. Quote
Blakstone Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Thanks, SCI. I didn't like the look of those for the characters I thought they were. I am glad they are City. Quote
sunhuntin Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 of those, clumsy guy is my favourite so far. perfect in a winter village where theres lots of ice... *evil laugh* Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) City. Are we allowed to see those now? I think the Dress will be 4-1, but won't be surprised if it's perhaps a bit like a skinny half dome and have a 4-1 to 4-2 to 4-1 transition. I do not think it will be a 4-2 all the way around though, and do not believe it will be the old piece mentioned earlier. I don't even know if they still have the mould for that piece. I just think a 4-2 rectangle would be too bulky, and if they follow the preliminary art design, it'll also be too complex a part. It could happen, but my suspicion is that it'll be a flat 4-1, or 4-1 to 4-2 half dome of some kind. I actually think 4-1 is great. If you look at dresses of Marie Antoinette's era, they are that thin and wide. Particularly Marie herself ushered in a thiner, wider pannier than previously seen. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pannier_(clothing) On other figures though, I concede it may look odd. Here I like it in conjunction with the cloak. of those, clumsy guy is my favourite so far. perfect in a winter village where theres lots of ice... *evil laugh* You may need to give him long sleeves! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited October 23, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote
BrickFit26 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Shark guy deftly looks like the sharks Katy Perry used. I really like the crutches on clumsy guy, and his shirt is hilarious. Shark suit guy is overall cool, love his fins, and the queen just looks fantastic. I want to see more Quote
obsidianheart Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Sticking to my "1x3 w/ 2 Studs" theory on the Queen's dress for now. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 My thoughts on the figs we have yet to see: Pest control: I hope this is pest control and not a zoo keeper. This I may have to get! I hope it comes with an ant and a recolour of the Hazmat suit and bug killing gun! it'll probably say in his Bio that he loves bugs and just moves them out instead of killing them. Lego's chumps. Jewel Theif: could be alright. I never got the masked and mostachioed art thief from the police theme, but I liked that figure, so maybe he'll be like that and I can get him. Tribal Woman: but time. Can't wait to see how they do it. hopefully it's classy. Winged warrior: I wish it was actually road warrior Furiosa, but Lego'd never do that. as it is, it'll probably be really cool. I hope for a Valkyrie! Likely new wing piece! Satyr: Sexy. Need 10. No pics yet, but I know. I know I need it. Scary Knight: Why has no one mentioned this? May be my favorite of the wave, save for Satyr, if so. I want this. Don't tell me I'm wrong. Shh. Just don't. Wrestler: yawn. Kendo guy: Army builder! I am very very happy! Astronaut: well, I hope it's something new... 'cause I have a lot of contemporary Astronaut figures... Robot with Lazer: hmmm. Could be cool. Wonder how it'll look. Receptionist: ooh LA la! I'm hoping for spiffy burgundy/purple suits Ala Grand Budapest Hotel! Make it as peacockish and gaudy as you can! Male farmer: probably nice. Want to see that Pig! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
npgcole Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 So is this the first time only one leg has been molded in two different colors? Do it on the other leg with pearl gold and grey, and that would be great for a certain protocol droid... Also I love how the cast has names signed on it! Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Still waiting for the right leg of Dr. Rodney Rathbone's from Monster Fighters. Maybe the robot in this series will have it. Quote

8BrickMario Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Because I feel confident that the Classic Queen uses a 2x4 brick, I wonder what will occupy the two studs behind her torso? Will it be the cheese-slope "bow" as seen in Boudon's concepts? Quote

Will it be the cheese-slope "bow" as seen in Boudon's concepts? The Boudon concepts show a new piece too. Even if it's 4-2 it'll be a new piece. That said, if I am forced to swallow my licorice hat and the mold is exactly like Boudon's, then I still think it'd be unlikely for Lego to throw on a cheese slope bow. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Robert8 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 Yeah! The CMF's are back!   Shark Suit Guy: I totally knew he would have flips instead of arms. Sand blue/white looks amazing Queen: I think that could be a new dress piece. The calamity drone hairpiece is an odd choice. I hope for a scepter Clumsy Guy: I totally looks like me after I had an accident in 2007 But I broke my right leg. I wonder about the moulded arms too. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Man, I'm loving that shark suit guy! Here's my opinion on what I've seen and assume for the 16: Queen: she looks awesome, I definitely like this dress piece. She matches the classic king, how adorable. Like the new hair color of the calamity drone piece. Pest control: should be great, I hope for a new insect piece. I'm 100% sure it's going to be a guy. He has potential to be a really impressive minifigure. Jewel thief: sad to say it's going to be a female for those who wanted a guy. I like the idea. Expect a new hat and hair combo. Tribal woman: has potential to be a phenomenal minifigure. She's going to have some really cool designs throughout her outfit. Dancer: don't know anything about this minifigure, what type of dancer should we expect? It's a girl for sure but I'm curious to see what they do with her. Flying warrior: honestly, I have no idea about this one. This is really a mysterious minifigure. Satyr: we knew about this one, should be great. Scary knight: a scared knight? That's what I think it's going to be. Unless we get another bad knight. Could go well with nexo knights. Wrestling champ: it's a guy, don't expect a girl. That would be like making the Dancer a guy. Printed champ on torso or new championship belt piece? Printed Shark guy: already a favorite minifigure, love the fins and new head/tail mold. Clumsy guy: love the crutches! That new head piece looks awesome, he's got one dual molded leg. Kendo warrior: not interesting to me because I already have the ninjago kendo piece. Astronaut: I expect a realistic helmet and he should be great. Laser robot: great minifigure, just have to see this one for yourself. Receptionist: it's a female, printed earpiece. Not the best looking minifigure. farmer: really hoping for that black pig! We already knew about this one. Quote
Robert8 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 You know I think I can see the future because I bet this is how the Scary Knight and the Winged Warrior will look: Maybe a Mythology theme Poseidon vs Zeus vs Hades Hades army: Zeus army: Quote
K_Tiger Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 You know I think I can see the future because I bet this is how the Scary Knight and the Winged Warrior will look: I'd hoard scary knights if they looked like that. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 It sounds like you've seen the robut and receptionist. Any info you can give us? Is she wearing a gaudy suit? What colour is the robut? New molds? what's the laser? Is it a reference to Spyrius? I'm actually not dissapointed in the least that the jewel thief is female! Maybe we'll see that rope piece again! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Will it be the cheese-slope "bow" as seen in Boudon's concepts? It may be cheese slopes, it may be a 1 x 2 tile with a bow print, or it may be nothing since she'll have her cape covering it. Dancer: don't know anything about this minifigure, what type of dancer should we expect? It's a girl for sure but I'm curious to see what they do with her. Wrestling champ: it's a guy, don't expect a girl. That would be like making the Dancer a guy. Printed champ on torso or new championship belt piece? Printed While I agree that your gender choices are most likely, I wouldn't have an issue if they were reversed. So I'm hoping just2good stops by to give us some more information on the ones we haven't seen yet. Quote

Robert8 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 About the Jewel Thief: A lot of people is thiking about Cat Woman but I guess this will be a Pink Panther reference. I guess he will be a vintage fashioned minifigure. Masked guy with curly mustache. A beret, peharps? For his accessory: a huge pink diamond and maybe a new sack. Quote
