well I've got a couple of Ecto-1s now, so depending on what happens the price is for the HQ, I might buy a couple of those too!

Unless the Ecto-1 goes from an Ideas set to a main one, you may have just unfairly deprived someone who doesn't yet have a LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1. I don't believe you should buy duplicates of limited edition sets.

It's possible, but as long as the set remains in production, it's also possible (likely) that increased sales will mean they make more of them. It's not limited in the sense of them making a specific, set amount that they determine at the outset. If they see that there's a sufficiently strong demand, it's likely they'll throttle production up a bit.

This is probably truest at the beginning of a set's availability, though.

because the tile states "rumored" not "confirmed"

I tried contacting Lego to see if they would be nice and tell me anything but all they did say was

I'm sorry that I can’t tell you anything about Ghostbuster™ Firehouse at the moment. Something like that might be coming soon, but until new toys are announced in the catalogue or on LEGO.com, we aren’t able to share any details. That’s because it takes a long time to design and make new toys, and we sometimes need every minute until they hit the shelves to make them perfect. Besides... we look forward to surprising you! If you want to find out about new LEGO sets as soon as they’re announced, just keep an eye on our website

So I think it is for sure happening they are just trying to keep it quiet and of course won't say anything.

It's definitely happening, as Toys R Us listed it already. I personally think the title of the thread should be changed to "LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) Discussion," as it's been all but confirmed, but I guess that can wait till the official reveal.

I'd say 75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters is a better name, I don't see the need for LEGO to be in the title.

Also, that email totally confirms it.

I am glad I posted it then. Finally did something useful and noticibale on here

None of us know what Toys R Us are basing their listing on. They could easily be basing it on the rumour.

Toys R Us does not list rumored products on the website. No large seller does that. All this is, is the common instance where Lego has told Toys R Us what toys will be coming out in the next year so they can work out deals, and someone at Toys R Us slipped up and added the product description online when they were not supposed to. Happens all the time--at least with Lego products.

Yes but who's to say whoever put the listing up isn't doing it because they heard the rumour?

What about the listing for Crash Bandicoot on PS4 which was listed on Amazon's French site? Is that real too? Because an announcement never came for that.

It's a very large retail store, they'd never do that. Either way, it's 100% true, the description and minifigure list matched exactly what I heard a few months ago.

In the words of Han Solo, "It's true. All of it."

Ok. Yes it's 100% real. No Toys R Us does not list sets that they heard about on the internet.

A close reading of the title, though, would alert everyone to the fact that the word 'rumored' could modify only 'January 2016.' This 100% real set was indeed rumored to be released in January, though that seems like it might no longer be the case. Since people like to be so picky about things, I'll change the title.

 Thanks!

Just to clarify, what about a thread for the new Minifigures D2C? Or is it too early for that... ?

And Amazon is a large online retailer, yet their French site listed a Crash Bandicoot PS4 release which isn't happening. People do make mistakes.

Unless you have any concrete information other than 'There will be something currently called Minifigures D2C,' it is too early. Even when more information does become available, this set might fit into one of our pre-existing topics

Videogames get announced and later cancelled. Retailers don't list rumored things. Please drop this argument now.

70140 is the set number, that's all I know. I think J2G posted about it a while ago, and it might've been in the S@H URL trick.

Yep he is a troll. He constantly bashes lego possibly charging $350 for this and says stuff like no set is worth that amount of money then in the doctor who threads he says he would pay any amount if lego would release a specific doctor who set.

If you find someone's posting out of line, use the Report button. Do NOT post in a thread calling someone a troll. I keep an eye on all the topics all the time. Please DO NOT respond here further.

Oh look, someone who purposefully ignores the 'buster' part of my username so they can participate in the daily online activity of name-calling.

I'm just saying you can't assume something is true before it's actually officially announced. That's how you end up disappointed. And yes, I do like Ghostbusters; my criticism of the set is the ludicrous price instead of something more affordable like £80.
