Monkeyfume Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) Just finished building this! (nose section of a 787) Any comments, questions, suggestions? I am trying to make this as good as possible so I can make it IRL in the medium future! Edited November 23, 2015 by Monkeyfume Quote
THERIZE Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Looks good. But remember that the nose is REALLY big so be prepared to spent a LOT of money on it. Quote

Monkeyfume Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Looks good. But remember that the nose is REALLY big so be prepared to spent a LOT of money on it. The whole plane is probably going to be on the vicinity of €2000 by my rough estimates, maybe more maybe less. Which puts this at about, ~€400? And I was also thinking if I should edit the doors to make them openable. Quote
Imanol BB Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Hi, i must say that you have made an excellent work building those airplanes, is very nice how you start to create the body of the second plane, also goodluck making the rest of them, loooking forward for updates. Quote

Man with a hat Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Wow, this is getting better and better. Looking foward to the rest of the plane. Quote
Fuppylodders Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I'll be honest... I wasn't keen on the nose when you had only designed the nose... It looked kind of stumpy, and the staggered technique for the nose seemed a little off.... but now seeing it with the rest of the fuselage, it 'just seems to work'! I think you have made great progress, and it certainly does look very well shaped. Just try and consider gravity in this build. If you have enough multi coloured bricks, test out whether the horizontal stabilizers could support their own weight with the method you will have them attached.... etc. Look forward to seeing the wings! How many pieces currently? Quote
Monkeyfume Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) 6500 bricks, and the wings aren't even done yet! It will be harder to get the upwards angle that the wings have, because they are much heavier than the horizontal stabilizers, but I'm trying different techniques and seeing what works. :) Thanks for the support! I really want to get the whole thing designed and ready to build by New Years. Edited December 4, 2015 by Monkeyfume Quote
