Scouty Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 You're allowed to use anything The Lego Company makes! Quote
Capn Frank Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 You're allowed to use anything The Lego Company makes! I'm gonna use the cardboard and plastic packaging that lego comes in! :-P Think it's ok to show progress pics IS? (don't knowif i want to though 8-| ) P Quote
Scouty Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Hmmm, if you want, but then other people may steal your ideas. Quote
SirNadroj Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I've got a link to the entry thread in my sig. Not sure how long it'll stay, though. You know me, always changin' and what not! ;-) Quote
Shadows Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 You're allowed to use anything The Lego Company makes! *posts a picture from the Galidor catalog while laughing maniacally* *skull* Scary, huh? Quote
Scouty Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Except those, those are banned from this contest! EDIT: Not really, if you find a good use for them, go ahead! But who owns them? Quote
Scouty Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 Double post, I forgot to add if you are allowed multiple entries, I'm going to go ahead and say only 1 entry allowed, so to keep it a bit more fair. Quote
Capn Frank Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 IS, Are we aloud ( :-D ) to use black, non-lego string for rigging, but it looks pretty close to lego string? I'm now almost done with my creation and i realized the if i can't use this string i'm going to have to do some major reconstruction :'-( Or try to find lots of lego string laying around some where. It's not a big deal either way. Just let me know. X-D P Quote
Scouty Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 Piq, uhm, unfortunately, no. We're going to keep it with non-futuristic stuff. So, no UFOs. Sorry. Phred, well, the rules do say all lego pieces. If you absolutely can't get something from lego for it, you can use string. Quote
Scouty Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 Well, the plot is that it's between the 1600's-1700's in the Carribean sea, so, no, no vikings. :-) . Skeletons are creepy enough, so they can be whatever. Quote
oo7 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Well, the plot is that it's between the 1600's-1700's in the Carribean sea, so, no, no vikings. :-) . Or anywhere else in that alloted time period, correct? Perhaps you should extend it into the early 19 century as well, otherwise one could submit any Napoleonic things. My entry seems to be just about finished, but I think I'll wait a little longer before presenting it! *sweet* Quote
Scouty Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 No, I want to still limit where the area will be, but it's a pretty big area. You could even go as far as to Mexico and bordering South American and Central American countries. But it's in the Carribean area. I let you guys off on whatever format you want to build in(ship/house/ and on baseplates/ship hulls) But it's going to be between those two centuries, 1600-1799 :-) ! Can't wait to see your entry! I let you guys off on whatever format you want to build in(ship/house/ and on baseplates/ship hulls) Hmmm, I followed these guidelines and have already built something that happens to be set in one of the thirteen American colonies - You're living peacefully in your cottage by the shore, you love it there, and the colony is the best you could ever hope it would be in the Carribean(or anywhere else)............................ [*]a. Your entry must depict a ship, a house, a man made construction in scenery (i.e. a bridge), a cave, or a shipwreck in a colony/sea of the 1600-1700 Quote
Scouty Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 Ah, I forgot about that X-D . Well, how about we have it in the New World, the whole of the Americas. This'll be final :-) . Unless somebody has started on something that isn't in the Americas, then it's okay. Quote
oo7 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Yes, that's wonderful! Thank you very much. :-P Do plan on making an entry yourself, Commander Scouts? Quote
Scouty Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 No, I don't. I would like to, but I'm the host, and I'm too busy to make one X-D . Quote
hewkii9 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I don't have a pirate collection-maybe I shouldn't have said that-, but I'll enter. Quote
