For you, it is accepted, because we have had nothing out of you. So, for you, the Mlcad design is acceptablem only because of your lack of MOCing. (I don't blame you for your lack of MOCing).

Turns out I suck at MLCAD. I spent an hour trying to design something and didn't get very far so I really can't afford the time to design anything decent with it.

This was a great contest idea, Imperial Scouts!

Everyone's entries are great!

The hammock in Sir Nadroj's entry is really nifty X-O . Phred's galleon, and in particular the stern is awesome *wub* . Dragonator's entry was pretty funny ;-) and pig's was quite creative. The dock in Yoda's entry is cool and the dark colored water is really neat *y* !

My favorite part of Cap'n SlyOwl's entry is the hut X-O and the islander buried in the sand :-D

A tiny vig is still too much. I gave myself an hour and managed to achieve nothing. To use real LEGO it would take me half an hour to get out and half an to pack it up again.

I've got one and a half weeks till my university submission so all my creative resources must be devoted to that. If this competition ended 9 days later then I would be able to find the time...

But if a brilliant idea strikes within the next couple of days then there might be hope.

Thank you very much Commander erm, Mister Scouts! The short story is exclusively a brilliant creation from the mind of Mr. Irving as I stated in the post. *y*

I was originally thinking of using just an excerpt from the writing, but then the portion would be terribly out of context and make little sense......

The story is good yes, the writer is excellent!

But, perhaps linking the text to a different website, and providing a summary?

The best way to do that is linking to a site with the portions just before and after the general section with the pictures, which means one would have to set up two seperate pages with only on of the said portions of the story on each. I'm not sure how I should accomplish that......perhaps I'll look into setting up something on that corny freewebs site if that would be helpful.

I love the two ships... great entries.... can the creators of the merchant high castle ship and the creator of the whaler make entries just on the ships themselves... would love to know more about them.... also I am in the middle of creating a new ship of the line and another heavy frigate....the ship of the line is going to have a brick hull and be as close to correct minifig scale as possible and based on the santisima trinidad.... so keep an eye out.....

I was thinking of starting a thread on the ship once the competition was over. ;-)

Looking forward to your ship, feel free to start a progress thread about this ship you're talking about HMS243 *y*

As a Kind reminder, entries will close in the middle of the day after Oct. 31, as to make sure the day has been fulfilled by everyone :-) .
