Chumley Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 As requested here is the layout I put together and displayed this weekend at brickworld Fort Wayne https://www.flickr.com/gp/9312385@N02/s99Wbq Quote
LucasLaughing Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Looks great! I really like how most of the buildings are non-square, and/or positioned at an angle to the baseplates. Sweet rolling stock, too. Quote
Meisterschnorrer Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Wow, a really great layout. I´m not able to find the right words... Fantastic buildings and great trains. I would like to see some detailed pictures of your yellow flatbed trailers...they look good. Best regards from Germany René Quote
Chumley Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Thanks guys. I can't take all the credit for the angles section. Ondrew Hardigan built that section. I added more photos and will post a video later today. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Wow ...amazing layout with many beutiful details! The docks and the main train yard are simply gorgeous! I love the moving platform for the locomotives and the electric structure! Quote
Meisterschnorrer Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Thank you very much... The firefighter cars are amazing, too... Great work.... Quote
marook Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Really nice. Like the different bridge styles, and the train switch area. Quote
dr_spock Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Great layout. The train transfer table is very nice. Do the tracks lead to the main line? Quote
Dread Pirate Rob Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Absolutely spectacular. I love the way that it does not look cluttered, yet there are fantastic details wherever you look! The stand-out features for me are the trees and the angled buildings. Thank you for sharing. Quote
Chumley Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Here are a couple videos of the layout. Edited October 26, 2015 by Chumley Quote
ecmo47 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Great layout! Very impressive in that everything is scratch built. Love the transfer table. Is it powered in anyway? I see that everything is 9v so that would be pretty difficult to accomplish. What are the dimensions of the whole set-up? How many people contributed to it? What kind of sting did you use for the powerline? I need some of those to gussy up my layout. Are all your trains 8 wide? Enough questions! Thanks for posting. Quote
Chumley Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) The current transfer table isn't powered. The previous version was powered via ir remote. The layout is 5'x24' it's just me setting it up. I can set it up in around 3 hours and took it apart and loaded in my trailer in about hour and 45 minutes The string is something from Walmart. Not sure what size or brand. Yes they are 8 wide. Edited October 27, 2015 by Chumley Quote
zephyr1934 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Excellent layout, there is a lot going on in a small space. Your shop buildings are fantastic, the river running through town is great, and overall it has a good "to scale" feel. The detailing is top notch. Quote
BricksMcgee Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Thanks for posting, Mark - great layout! Quote
