rodiziorobs Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 That makes sense. I just hate the way it looks. I mean, include a hat accessory or something to cover it. Bleh. They really dropped the ball with Mickey. My money is on Series 2 having a Sorcerer's Apprentice variant, and possibly a Top Hat variant even later on than that. Quote
AnnaBuildsLego Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Stitch is glorious. Wonderful figure, I'm going to try to get as many of him as I can! The printing indicating his tail is just the cutest, very well done. He's definitely the best figure in the series for me! Thanks for the review! Quote
Exetrius Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 It's really too bad that there's grey on Ursula's otherwise fantastic, brightly shining, white hairpiece! (I have a knack for white hairpieces ) Her bottom piece.. eh, I'm fine with that. Quote
Brickity Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) My love for these just keeps growing!... except for Mickey, go home. I'd be maaad if any of my minifigs came out with misprints like Peter Pan's mouth though. And Buzz, holy crap. I love whoever made him. Glad I didn't get the one from 2010. CM4Sci Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) Not my photo but these have been spotted in a Target in Denver, CO. DPCI is still 204-00-1379 Why're the eyes always so small on every photo I see? They're not.. printed correctly. Edited April 11, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote
Master_Data Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Do any of them have double-sided printing on the head pieces? Quote

DarrellBricker Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Gads, I just don't know about this series. I want to like it, but I just don't. I don't like the way they did Ursula's torso, I don't like the way they did Genie's head/hair/ears, I don't know why they chose that silly green alien from Toy Story 2 when the slot could have gone to someone a lot more deserving, and all of the faces look ... off to me, not very Lego at all. I am also not a fan of the molded heads for Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy, the alien or the Cheshire Cat. Stitch's came out well, though. (I can totally see them using Aladdin's hair and fez for a Dr. Who minifigure somewhere down the road, too). Outside of Maleficent, and *mayyyyybe* Alice, Peter Pan and Aladdin, I really can't see myself purchasing a whole lot of these. Quote
K_Tiger Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 *Sigh* Guess I've got to find a Milhouse and see how a torso swap looks on Ursula. Quote
Jbricks Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Actually, they gave Buzz and all of the Toy Story crew molded heads when they did sets a while ago. I personally didn't like that look, and I'm glad they did them this way for the minifigure series. I hope that this trend continues. I know that, that's the whole reason I mentioned Buzz Quote
Ed3n Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Looking at these pics closely, the printing quality is indeed VERY poor. While the figures are excellent in my opinion, I hope the bad quality printing is not consistent. Anyway with only 2 weeks away from official release, I can't believe we still haven't got Whitefang's review. Whitefang, where are you? Hopefully won't be long now. I also think Ursula is still a well made figure, if not one of the best in this series. I don't mind the mould or the colour of the torso. I think Lego has put a lot of effort in this one, even though it is not perfect and should be credited for it. I also cannot wait for the next series, hopefully more classic princesses, like snow white, Cinderella, mulan, the lists go on and on. Quote
Tech Artist Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 My money is on Series 2 having a Sorcerer's Apprentice variant, and possibly a Top Hat variant even later on than that. Yea definelty. That will come out much better. I'd love a Sorcerer's Apprentice with the blue and white stars hat. <3 Would it be possible to do a full robe or would that just be printed? I feel like just doing a standard minifig torso may look odd. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 *Sigh* Guess I've got to find a Milhouse and see how a torso swap looks on Ursula. Hah! Thats too good! The thing about the knives is bothering me. Are they gold or silver. I prefer silver as they are more versatile amongst other figures I will be giving them too. Pan, if I ger him, is not staying put together for long. At all. Quote

Legocity2713 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Gold Thank you. :) Scratching Peter Pan off my list. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Stitch has amazing printing on the back, just one more reason to like him even more. Quote
telaruhn Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I don't mind the gold knives at all, much to my own surprise. I feel like they fit Peter's whimsical nature, and I certainly don't mind getting more gold weapons to outfit my Flying Warriors... If you think about it from a production standpoint, there's already a plethora of pearl gold accessories in this series. Maybe it was a matter of using up the pearl gold color? It's unfortunate that the Peter Pan in the review has some printing issues. Considering the figures came from Billund, I wonder if they were from the first batch of figures made for this series... Robert8 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 For me, the biggest problem with Stitch and the Little Green Alien is the price per piece thing They have only 3 pieces. That never happened before in the CMF line Paying $4 for just 3 pieces is too much, especially considering that you pay the same for Maleficent, who has 9 pieces Just a thought Quote

Mickey also only has 3 pieces and looks worse than the Alien and Stitch. Quote

Tech Artist Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) Oh I didn't notice before but yeah, Mickey has only 3 pieces as well So you could say he is the worst value Minifig. I'm just wondering if The Alien and Stitch really need accessories? I guess you could give Stitch a collar or a surfboard and the Alien a claw from the claw game or a ray gun(though this would be inaccurate as you never see them carrying a weapon). The Alien could have been given a pizza, as the Aliens were found on a Pizza Planet Truck in Toy Story 2 (Not the best accessory ever but better than nothing I suppose) Quote
