Waterbrick Down Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 That might be the problem, Torald says, pointing at the corroded opening. Let's check it out! Torald and some of the group move over to the corroded opening. Upon inspection, the Party discovers that while the spout is not completely corroded over and more than likely not the cause of the problem, the remaining openings are too small for them to fit through. It looks like a certain tool would be required to break up some of the blockage.
Alfadas Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) I'd say, we stick together. Not a good idea to split up, who knows what kind of weird yukky things we encounter. Maybe later we can split up, if we know with what kind of things we're dealing, Torald says. Edit: Well, looks like we can't fit through there. Maybe I can smack it with my Hammer? Torald asks, grabbing his Spark Hammer. None of us has the Pickaxe, so maybe hammer will do Edited April 2, 2016 by Alfadas
BountyBeast Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Hunkan equips Daugslyr in his Longsword's stead. "Should we have a look at the map first, so we know where we're headed? He did give us a map, right?"
Kappy Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 "If we can't get that open, we should check the other pipe," Wolfwind says, walking over to the other valve and peering down it.
dum Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Guess it falls on me to propose the third option. Kid points his finger at the upper spout. How about up there?
Palathadric Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Petaldan tries to scrap the gunk away with his sword if Torald's Hammer doesn't work.
Waterbrick Down Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 Neither attempts at loosening the gunk with the weapons work, it would seem the Party need a specific tool to break through. Looking down into the second valve a golden glow can be seen, the somewhat sticky residue on the glassware would afford an easy descent. QM Note: When I get off mobile tonight, I'll post the map.
Alfadas Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Well, it seems like we can't take that route... Let's go down into the other valve.
Kappy Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 "Sure!" Let's wait for anything to actually happen until we get the map. Then someone can speak up, pretending to "notice" something on the map.
Waterbrick Down Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Torald and Wolfwind descend to the crucible below as Hunkan inspects the map. Down below, the mage and barbarian find themselves in a small pile of gold! Edited April 3, 2016 by Waterbrick Down
Alfadas Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Guys! We found a pile of gold! Torald shouts to the others, who are still up high. Over there is a pile in the same color as the corroded valve, let's check it out, Wolfwind.

BountyBeast Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 "This device looked a lot less complicated on the outside, but at least there aren't a lot of branching paths. Both of the uncorroded paths lead to dead ends, so unless one of them is the cause of the problem, we're gonna have to get through the corroded valve."

Ezeran, now well on his way down towards Torald and Wolfwind, shouts back to Hunkan. "Good work! We'll find a way to get through. Let us take one step at a time and be real careful, there could be dangers here that we can hardly grasp. "
Kappy Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Wolfwind, after a long silence, speaks up."I wonder if the tool we need to clear the gunk is here? I'll look for anything we could use." He starts digging through the gold.

MysticModulus Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Ezeran finally comes closer the pile of gold and inspects it closely without touching it. "I'll cover you Wolfwind but I believe that things may not be what they seem here, be very careful."
