jim7564 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 I built this one about 5 year ago, after seeing a documentary on the history channel and thought it would be nice to build in memory of those lost aboard her on that fateful day. around 17 ft long built after the major refit she had and was like this at Pearl Harbor not quite aswell built as the Missouri (in need of a rebuild decks etc) but still looks good Quote
Naptown11 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 I love all three of the ships you have built and posted here. I've seen the Mississippi, Arizona, and the blue hull that I can't remember the name. Judging by the photos it seems you have almost an entire armada in the garage. Keep up the great, and quite frankly unreal, work I'm sure that I am not the only person that enjoys seeing these amazing ships. I also wanted to ask if that was a Japanese aircraft carrier in the background as I thought I saw a couple of Zero's on the deck (From its size my guess is it might be the Shinano). If that is a carrier and you have some pics please post them as I and the rest of the community would love to see them. Again keep up the great work, I haven't seen other pieces of this scale on this site except for Lego Sajak's gigantic town and square, if you would like to see a huge city check his stuff out. Quote

ShrikeArghast Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Lovely. The mid 30s was the highpoint for aesthetics on American BBs - everything was downhill from North Carolina onwards. Quote
Paperballpark Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) Very impressive, but do I spy clone-brand bricks in it? Quite a lot, from the look of it... Edited May 8, 2016 by Paperballpark Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 And another behemoth, hats of to you sir! How many ships do you have at the moment? I spot a few other ones in the back as well. Quote
jim7564 Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Very impressive, but do I spy clone-brand bricks in it? Quite a lot, from the look of it... yes your right only reason for it is the expense of using pure lego pieces,i buy all the bricks etc no sponsors etc.its amazing how a lot of people frown upon a brick that looks the same, the exact same size and colour but doesnt have the lego logo on the studs which nine times out of ten is covered over with a tile.maybe this will get me banned off here but i find folk who bring up the name of a brick are quite jealous of the MOC when that is all they can say about it !!!!!!
