Hello all, I am building a MOC and need help with figuring out the tire and wheel sizes. The site I have accessed (which is the officiall site) gave me the tire and wheel size of the car, which is good. The problem was that the sizes they gave me were very confusing.

For the tires it gave me these figures: front- 265/35-19" Y Rear- 345/30-20" Y

For the wheels it gave me these figures- front- 19" x 9.5" Rear- 20" x 12.5"

What does this all mean? I am sorry if this is a stupid question.

Those numbers mean

265/35/19 = 265 mm wide / 35% of that as sidewall (265 x 0.35 = 92.75) / fitted on a 19 inch wheel

19x9.5 = 19 inch wheel diameter and 9.5 inch wheel width

Thank you very much! I have often wondered about this. I can figure out new gearboxes switchers, or 7 sped paddle shifters, but I can't seem to be able to figure out this! Well, now I know. Thanks again,

Myers Lego Technic.

Does that mean then that the total height of the rear tires is 35% of 345 mm x 2 + 19" ?

I think so, but I am not sure.

The total height of the rears should be 30% of 345mm x2 + 20" (Probably what you meant to type).

Try using this: https://tiresize.com/calculator/

I usually just look at pictures and measure the tyres from that. The only thing I know from that is that "Y" refers to the speed rating of the tyre. A quick check shows that Y tyres are rated for up to 300kmph.
