Sir Gareth Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) Wasn't it Sir Gareth who said...that we'll receive one set for Spider-Man: Homecoming and also one set for Thor Ragnarok? NO. Edited August 23, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
Battlinpanther Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) Actually Thor has so much more. Yeah there's plenty of Spidey from comics, but in Ragnarok there's Thor, Hulk, Loki, Heimdall, Odin, Hogun, Volstagg, Fandral, Valkyrie, Hela, Skurge, Grandmaster and Surtur I was about to just say that. If we're talking action/hero characters then Ragnarok and GOTG Vol. 2 easily have more characters to make figs of than Homecoming. If there is a mini wave for Ragnarok my guesses would be a gladiator type thing with Thor, Hulk, Valkyrie and Grandmaster, and then perhaps something asgard related with Hela, Skurge, Loki, Heimdall, ect. Lyichir Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 While there are certainly a lot of characters and subjects for Thor sets to depict, I do think it's likely that Spider-Man will get more sets than Thor: Ragnarok if only because of Spider-Man's proven marketability. It's no coincidence that he's been one of the most commonly featured characters in the Marvel Superheroes theme even before he was a part of the cinematic universe. Quote

Oh I don't doubt Spidey will get more sets. I was just saying I disagreed with the idea that there aren't enough characters/situations in Thor 3 to make multiple sets. Quote
SpiderJazz Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I think it's worthwhile to add that 2017 will be the first year to release THREE Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, and we don't know how LEGO will respond to that. Maybe Ragnarok will get a small wave. We can't take from previous years to judge. However we also shouldn't speculate on this thread, it angers the moderators Just to clarify, so we are NOT suppose to speculate or tackle about those upcoming movies? Thanks. Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Just to clarify, so we are NOT suppose to speculate or tackle about those upcoming movies? Thanks. Correct It happens, but when the conversation completely derails, that's generally when the Mods step in. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Just to clarify, so we are NOT suppose to speculate or tackle about those upcoming movies? Thanks. We can, but if we are talking about the movies themselves there is a Culture and Multimedia subforum here. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) NO. As I recall you said this a while back : Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is to Captain America: Civil War, as Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok are to Doctor Strange. Check page 7 of this very thread if you don't believe me. But if I misinterpreted what you were saying then it's my mistake. Edited August 24, 2016 by LOTR34 Quote
Sir Gareth Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) Just as I recall you previously taking that quote out of context, and misinterpreting it: Well, Sir Gareth said that...we are recieving at least one set for Thor: Ragnarok. No, I have not. Edited August 24, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
Captain Nemo Posted August 24, 2016 Author Posted August 24, 2016 Let's all focus on the sets we do know about, and not debate how many sets we think we will get... Thanks! Quote
Invincible_LEGOMAN Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Yeah! So does anybody have any more info on the Winter 2017 wave? Quote
Sir Gareth Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 ...any more information on the January Wave? What more is there to ask for by this point? We already know complete set contents. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Guess we'll have our first look at the GotG sets this January when the catalog of the first half of 2017 comes out.Hopefully this time around Lego will step up their game, was not a fan of the first wave. Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Yeah! So does anybody have any more info on the Winter 2017 wave? What other info do we need? Quote
Invincible_LEGOMAN Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 What more is there to ask for by this point? We already know complete set contents. Just trying to get back on topic. But we don't know what the jet looks like in the Cap set. Quote

SpiderJazz Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 They said it's a new piece that can stretch. WOAH that's a new information. I think it's a newbie questions, but are we going to see or allowed to see the prelim images? or just the actual set images? Quote
LegoMcBoss2004 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 On here if they are leaked, NO. Maybe somewhere else but until Lego officially unveils the set, images are not aloud to be posted. Quote

Sir Gareth Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 All Whisperer said is that Ms. Marvel's arms are new pieces, longer than he expected. Quote
