Inthert Posted August 19, 2016 Author Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) I love the yellow ties, the cutout wings look awesome. Weren't they from an episode of Rebels where they were trying to steal Tibana gas or something? Thank you :) yep, that's the one, not the best episode by any means but it gave us the yellow TIE so it's not all bad ;) Yeah, most of the parts that have the wrong color are mostly hidden. When the parts get here and 75150 does as well I can have a hand-held space battle myself with your TIE and Vader's vs. an A-Wing. Plus I will have a complete set of ANH TIEs. It sucked that the UCS X Wing retired a few days before I was going to buy it (and by the time I realized it, it was $260 everywhere ), but would have been an uncomfortably heavy hand-held battle, These TIEs will give my UCS one company and be light enough for me. Sounds good :D I have set 75150 too, I destroyed the A-wing but Vader's TIE is still alive. I must say they are fun to recreate the trench scene together ;) Nice take on the SW Rebels scale Tie Fighters! I'm planning to build a couple of them but when I upload the lxf-file to Bricklink som piece doesn't exist in their database. Anyone found out which piece? Hmmm, that's strange, I wonder if its just a new mould of an existing piece that its having trouble with? The only other thing it could be is the transparent round viewport, I'm not certain its actually available in the colour it is on the file. could be worth a look :) Other than that... I have no idea I'm afraid :/ Gray_Mouser's suggestion of looking on rebrickable might be worth a try too. I'm not too familiar with that site (as I said above) but it seems to be quite a useful resource :) Edited August 19, 2016 by Inthert Quote

I transport it from room to room with the whole set balancing in my arms, so its only a matter of time before something happens to it. I've already entered what I need into an wanted list, so I just got to find a seller, buy it from BrickLink, and then wait and hope it comes with everything and its intact for the battle to begin!!! Gray_Mouser's suggestion of looking on rebrickable might be worth a try too. Gray_Mouser Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 I've just built this tie fighter. I'm impressed with... pretty much everything. The amount of details inside the cockpit, the roundness of the "eyeball" considering the scale and the fact that it has an interior, the building techniques used in the wings, the sturdiness... Really, very nice job! Just one remark: I think you forgot 4 2x1 gray plates in your LDD file (in order to close the hexagons on the insides of the wings). Quote

So sorry for this late reply, I must have missed your post somehow. Great to hear you built it, thanks so much! I'll add a note where I posted the file so others are aware of it. Thanks for letting me know. Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Really like the TIE. That pilot is snug! Quote
