Zanna seems surprised at Samantha's generosity, but she smiles at the young woman.  *This one has a warrior's spirit,* she thinks to herself, *to her, the battle was its own prize.  She sets a good example.*  "Well done, all of you," Zanna commends her allies as she hands out the loot, adding the 5 Gold she had stolen from the spider to the loot as well.

Boris: 20 Gold
John Alburn: 1x Lightning Bomb, 8 Gold (if refused, bomb goes to Addok-Zo and gold goes to Boris)

With the spiders vanquished and the spoils distributed, Zanna moves to cut free the trapped pig and human the spiders had captured.

QM Note: Check your stats, that they are correct! Seem I had forgotten to do so adding after the last battle, I think they should be correct now but take a quick look at them also just to be sure.

Zanna cuts down the old man and one of his pigs from the tree.

The pig farmer slowly gets up on his feet, brushing of cobwebs from his cloths.

"Ah, thank you kind strangers for helpin' me. I can´t imagine, i don´t wanna imagine what would had happened to me, if you would not have come by here." The man shivers. He goes over to his cart and pigs. "Are you alright, little piggys..." He looks at the cart  "Ooh my cart and my horse."

"Calm down now, everything is alright. Can you tell us what happened?"

Samantha walks over to the cart to investigate it closer.

"Spiders, ooh spiders everywhere. Not just these but huge ones, has big as horses... and they t took my horse and some of the other pigs..." The man sits down on the ground. "Oh my..."

John turns to the heroes

"Giant spiders, here, so far from the deeper forest. That is not a good sign. Wonder what has dragged them to come out here?"

Happy with his loot, Addok-Zo cracks a bit of a smirk but it quickly fades away as he has to deal with the farmer.  "Consider yourself lucky, old man."

He turns back to the group.  "Let this not happen again.  We might not be so lucky next time.  Now, let's continue escorting these prized possessions."

[Waterbrick Down]

"Another wagon is following this one, you should be able to catch a ride to Eubric with no issue. We'll see to it that the spiders are dealt with." Boris handed the man 20 Gold, "Hopefully that will allow you to secure another horse."

The cleric turned to his companions, "Let us continue."

[Mencot]

Alburn climbs up on to the vagon again.

"Yes, we have a job to do. Lets go."

The man looks at the heroes with frightened eyes. "No, no, you should not go down that road... ow the horror."

"Thank you kind sir but no, I will manage. Promise me take another road, it is too dangerous."

"We can handle it, ain´t that right heroes? Addok-zo, check that all the chests are okay and still intact."

Samantha also goes back to her horse, quietly raises up onto the horse.

"I don't get it, isn't this the same road we came in on?"

"Yes, it is. There is not that many roads around here, right? Did you encounter something like this yesterday?"

[Yzalirk]

"As you wish."  Addok-Zo climbs up onto the wagon and inspects the chests to make sure they are secured and not tampered with.

"We had a run in with a demonic bee. Something's up with all these insects."

As Addok-Zo looks through the chests he can see that the are sealed and secured but he sees a small box next to the four large chests, it was way back in the vagon and it had gone unnoticed all this time. Will Addok open it?

"Hmm it is something dark about this all. I have gone by here a hundred times, through these forests. Not once have I run into any demonic insects,  I know there are giant spiders deep in the Murkwoods but they mostly keep to themself. Something seems to be drawing them out."

Samantha moves closer and whispers

"When I investigate the damaged cart over there, there was other the spider marks on it! Something also else damaged that cart than giant spiders... magic maybe."

"I think we are going into a trap here but we might find out what really happens here! Lets move." Alburn pulls the reins and horse starts moving down the road.

"I don't remember this being here."  He peers at it, unsure whether or not to open it.  "Zanna, think you can inspect this box and make sure it is not rigged?"

Boris rode up alongside the cart, "I think it'd be best if we don't open that thing on the cart itself."

Addok can see that it has House Tweed markings on the box.

The heroes unsureness by what is in the box and opening it goes ignored because the wagon hits a bump and the lid slides off a bit. Addok can see that inside there is few glass bottles, one being a healing potion.

Boris quickly realizes that the guard had started driving the wagon forward, "John, in the name of Ennoc, halt the cart. We've got something we need to deal with."

Alburn stops the wagon, the sudden halt makes Addok almost lose his balance.

"What is it? Why do we need to stop?"

[Waterbrick Down]

Boris rolls his eyes, "Because Addok is still tending to the chests as you asked him to. How do you expect him to ensure everything is alright if you take off in such a hurry like that?"

[Mencot]

"Oh I am sorry. You okay back there Addok? I thought you had already checked the chests!"

Alburn looks at Boris with a stern look and says "Keep in line, remember who is in charge here. And we need to get moving, so if Addok sits down then we move."

 

[Yzalirk]

Looking at the glass bottles, Addok tries to identify them.  "What are in these glass bottles?  You never informed us of these items."

[Mencot]

Addok investigates the contents of the box and finds 2 healing potions, 2 tonics, 1 remedy and 1 Phoenix essence. And on the bottom of the box there is a small note.

John looks back at Addok, then at the box and then back to Addok.

"I don't know what that box is but it looks like there is some necessary supplies in there if things would get ugly."
