Who thinks there will be a baby minifigure?

I do. I wrote that in my first speculation post . Referring to this:

"Hello, I am a character and my presence here is related to a new minifigure accessory that has been released in 2016"

I know it sounds odd, but I'm talking about an actual baby minifigure.

That's the Hot Dog Vendor with the new bun piece, first released in an Angry Birds set. It also came later in the Friends line.

Whoa, wasn't even aware that piece existed. Now it's one of my favorite new pieces.

Where do these descriptions come from?

Itaria No Shintaku, page 8 of the thread.

Hello, I've been doing some surfing across different forum sites and other such social media, and I found someone who claims that three more figures In this series are a matador, TV remote suit guy, and one man band guy. Please don't quote me on this as I do not know its legitimacy I just read it somewhere and thought it was worth mentioning.

Matador would fit the 'specific nationality' or 'sort of historic' slot and TV remote suit guy would be very appropriate for the 'bizarre number 13' slot, at least those are my guesses.

It would match the silhouette pretty well, but the silhouette clue and the nationality clue were separate in Itaria's list.

TV remote guy could be on the list, and fits the clue "Tipo de Costume de Remoto", assuming that Italian uses the word by itself (this happens in Portuguese, so its possible Italian does as well).

I don't see One-Man-Band guy fitting with Itaria's clues, nor does it seem likely. I mean, the number of accessories would be huge, let alone all of them being musical instruments. I will buy an army of them if it's true, though.

Matador could still be one of them. The 'sport' of bullfighting got spread enough that it no longer belongs to a single nationality. However there are forms of it that are quite brutal to the bull, and from that perspective could be seen as out of bounds with the company image. Plausible, but treading the line.

I do not believe that Lego will make a matador ever. Way too much controversy.

One man band guy? For in the circus? And remote controle guy? I don't know. They just seem not likely to me.

In google translate (initials only)

Matador-M

Tv remote suit guy-RVRT (but there are probably other translations)

One man band guy-RDBDUU

However, this is using ragazzo for guy, not tipo.

None of the translations look anything like Itaria's initials on page 13 so I'm not sure if these are genuine or not.

Isn't the wheelchair also a new minifig accessory for 2016? I was wondering if we might a one-legged guy or so

I think an Australian 'bush man' has to be a high probability now, given the existence of a boomerang mould.

If it comes with a new animal accessory though - my money'd be on a koala

I'm really torn on the matador/toreador suggestion. On one hand I totally agree it's contentious and could be seen as glorifying or supporting bloodsports that would be hard to justify ... but on the other hand it's such an iconic costume and image. It's certainly been used by Disney and others in the past - so not sure where Lego would draw the line here.

However perhaps it's the minifigure that 'no one would have expected to be made...'

I think the matador is quite possible. Regarding the blood thirsty spot aspect, they can "fix" this in the lore by having the description mention that the bulls either always wins or that they are some how well treated after the fight. Perhaps the matador always fights the same bull, losing each time.

We have already had a modular designed to smuggle prohibition cookies instead of alcohol. Matadors in this LEGO world don't have to kill the bulls.

I hope it won't be a matador; I don't like his meaning and wouldn't like any sort of "advertising" for this profession.

I think the Highwayman could be more plausible, if we look at the silhouette it fits perfectly: hat, cape...

(Anyway in italian we use the word "remoto" only to say something far in the time. We call "telecomando" the Tv remote control)

I would LOVE a Matador minifgure. I don't think he is the silhouette in the leaflet though

The silhouette has a neck piece and a tricorn, and those don't match with a matador

Also, the minifigure from a specific nationality and the one from the silhouette are different, according to Itaria's clues

Anyway, we already got a minifigure from spain the S6 Flamenco Dancer

You know when there's a discussion about how many minifigure series there are, and that they will never stop, so someone starts joking about minifigures that will be in series 40? Remote control suit guy sounds like one of those jokes.

However it isn't unlikely. Remote is vertical, simple, and an everyday object and I can see why Lego would do that. Actually I've seen a phone suit guy in movies and ads more than once, I can imagine why a remote suit guy would exist in both real life and Lego. Though at this point I think they don't even care if the suit doesn't makes sense, if it looks cool.

But it's indeed bizzare when you first think about it, and I can see why Itaria would think the price will skyrocket. The only problem now is that it doesn't match any hinted letters if the remote is telecomando, but since he said he pasted it into google translate (and since google translate is often terrible) maybe it translated into 'remoto' and he didn't even notice while shortening it to letters. although he's Italian.

But then again, why would he use google translate for his own language? I still think that it might not be Italian.

There is something that comes to my mind right now: quite some time ago there were drawings of a designer where already many designs were made into minifigs. Does someone still has those? One could compare the drawings to the clues and maybe find some matches!

Remotes are used for more than televisions. I don't recall him posting that he used Google translate (if I am wrong, okay). Others did, trying to discern a translation.

Softened versions of bullfighting have been in media for a long time. I don't claim any part of it is right. Just plausible. Lego could claim that he didn't fight real bulls, but instead that he challenged the Minotaur. This would still be perpetuating the practice, and that is why I think it would be treading the line. In any event, it is not much a representation of the Spaniards, and is found elsewhere as well.

The image could be a Highwayman, as many suspect, but what appears to be epaulets make me think otherwise. A Navigator, as in the great explorers in the age of sail, is something I would welcome. A new version of the 2x2 compass makes sense. Marco Polo?

Hey you're right.

There is a nationality represented in the AB designs: French Guy!

Other than that one, I don't see any other match with the clues.
