Capt Wolf Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 On the Grand Road of Nellisa, near Nova Terreli, is a small roadside tavern. Today is delivery day, and the tavern owner and his family are happy to see the brewer's cart arrive. The tavern owner's handyman rolls the kegs of beer into the tavern... ...and the brewer's workman loads the empty kegs onto his cart to take back to the brewery. The road is still muddy in places from a recent rain, but the old draft horse doesn't mind. It's better than a hard, dusty road, and the trip back to the brewery will be much lighter pulling empties instead of full kegs. *************************************************** This build is 1280 studs (32x40). I'm submitting it for consideration in categories A (Action on the Road) and M1 (Nova Terreli: Merchants). All C&C welcome! Quote
blackdeathgr Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 For 5 mins now, i am studying your simple but really efficient building and tree technique. They are so charming! Couple that with the surroundings and the cart and you have a sincerely good looking moc (that is still being studied after 10 mins!!!) Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Finally a useful building along that muddy track Well done, I like the use of wedge plates here, and I'm always a fan of that roof technique Keep it up! Quote

If down at its level, you can see that the tree branches are too level, and the leaves stratified. But with any elevation in viewing angle it looks good. I'm glad you like it! 16 hours ago, Kolonialbeamter said: Finally a useful building along that muddy track Well done, I like the use of wedge plates here, and I'm always a fan of that roof technique Keep it up! Thanks! The wedge plates seemed a natural way to deal with the angle of the road. And that was one of the things I liked most about this build: keeping a lot of it askew from the 90-degree grid. As for the useful building, surely with all the travelers on the road some must get thirsty! Quote
Mengish Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Yes, this looks lovely and welcoming! I can spend my DB's here without hesitation. Quote
dr_spock Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Nicely done. A suitable establishment for a monopoly on beer service. Have one for the road. Cheers. Quote
Bregir Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Lovely landscaping, great little tavern (love how it is angled) and good story. Another worthy and lovely build for the Strada Maxima. Great carriage too. I am pleased to be in this joint venture with you. Quote

I tend to struggle with my landscaping, so this was a good exercise for me. And I'm pleased to be in this venture with you as well! Quote
