Okay, I'm really shy about letting others see my drawings, but I kind of wanted to show these :-$

Please go easy on me, I am awful at drawing women or realistic looking people in general. :-$

Um, er, anyway, while I was on holiday at Anson's Bay on the east coast of Tasmania, while I was bored I drew my Bat-minifig artwork (check it out! :-P ) and also these. Again, go easy on me, some of these look rather silly :-$

Heres Batman:

I know, he looks FAR too chunky :'-( :-$ But I think I did a good job on the cape.

Mr. Freeze:

He's based off the animated series version, with a few of my own touches.

Scarecrow:

I can never draw Scarecrow any good :'-(

Poison Ivy:

Go easy on me! :'-( I can't draw women very good! :-$

Riddler:

Joker:

I think I did a pretty good job on Joker. I think :-$

Penguin:

I'm very pleased with this one, I could never draw Penguin before.

Two-Face:

Being my absolute favourite batman villain, I think I did a good job on Two-Face. His appearance is part based on his looks in The Long Halloween.

Generic Gotham Gangster:

I like this guy :-$

I'd appreciate comments and tips, I think I did pretty good at some. Sorry, I'm really nervous right now, I've never really shown anyone my drawings :-$

A pretty good job there :-) My favourites are the Joker and Penguin. When drawing a woman, try to make the legs, arms and waist thinner than a man's. Try a more feminine face for Poison Ivy, your female minifig faces were pretty good.

Very nice, Batbrick. The Joker is great, and I quite like your Riddler too. And you did do a good job on Bats' cape.

Another tip (and this applies to both men and women) is to draw the nose as a single line, or a sort-of smooth V, when drawing a head, um, head-on (no pun intended). While a full works well for The Joker, for some of the others (eg Ivy) the line might work better.

Still good though. :-)

Thanks, I'll take that advice next time I draw. I tried it a bit, but now I see I could have don MUCH better :-$

Thanks again.

That joker is great.

Looking down the barrel of a gun.

:-D Thanks.

Thanks Brainbox, I think I might have succeeded with the Joker then, which makes me happy. The Riddler is one of my favurite characters but everytime I try to add his cheekbones he ends up looking fifty years old, so I think I did better this time. A long way to go still though.

Thanks for the tips too, I remember that technique now, I'll do that from now on, to avoid "fat nose" syndrome.

Thanks guys for your tips and compliments, I still have a long way to go before I can draw really good (doubt I'll succeed anyway :'-( ) but your tips will definitely help me improve, thanks again.

These aren't bad! *y* Nice start, the generic gangster is my favourite, but I think some shading will greatly improve these. ;-)

Some nice work *y*

A couple of hints: try to make the characters more animated (e.g. in a pose) and use shading. I never was much good at shading myself, but I've seen how effective it can be.
