RhuntIII Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I'm a little excited over my son's new 60052 train set, we got some extra track and well into our new Lego adventure. After trolling around for a few days I found all kinds of custom train cars and extended trains. So we've taken the stock 60052 train cars and mixed them up to incorporate the 75827 Audi R18 and the 75873 Audi R8 which fit perfectly. We're gonna need more train cars and more pieces. Here's were I'm gonna need some help.... How do I add additional cars to my set buy purchasing pieces and not leftover cars? And what are some good links for beginner Lego train builders? I seem to be spending more time getting lost that finding answers. Thanks and looking forward to being a member on this forum and contributing pics of our builds. Quote
M_slug357 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I'd go to http://brickset.com/ There you can find parts' lists for sets as well as links to various vendor websites. Definitely a great help to build multiple cars and cars in different color schemes. Good Luck! Quote
alican Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) I wish Lego would sell additional train cars/wagons. It's too much of a hassle to find all the necessary parts from the least amount of sellers now. Sure, you can buy different parts from different sellers but then shipping costs add up. You may try to buy the same train set and sell the parts you don't need. Edited December 28, 2016 by alican Quote
ALCO Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 You can look on eBay or Amazon for cars that are for sale separately. I think I have spotted some there a while ago. You could always make it a project with your son to build more cars. I know there are instructions for cars for sale on Bricklink. Quote
RhuntIII Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 Thanks for the reply gentlemen. I would like to keep these projects for the boy and I so I'm gonna do a little research on instructions. Quote
pyro690 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Just buy more train sets and use the extra pieces for a later project! The 60052 looks better with two engines in the front. Quote
