Legostone Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 So far, most Eslandolans (besides a few within MAESTRO) have preferred slower merchant ships. This has been changing over the past month, and a request appeared for me to build a fast ship that can still carry a bunch of Cargo. After a bit of talking I got my shipyards convinced to build us, Eslandola as a whole, a new Schooner. This one is owned by many within Eslandola, with members of all Trade Companies owning parts of it. Let's hope it pays off! The Piece of Eight will be licensed by @Capt Wolf. First, let's see it in its entirety! Bow: Stern: And, lastly, the small broadside sporting a whopping 2 guns each. Enough to defend while outrunning the enemy I hope. Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 This certainly looks like a fast ship, the rigging looks great and so does your Eslandian flag! Very intriguing stern design too! Quote
Capt Wolf Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Beautiful ship! Lovely stern, and the cloth sails always add a lot to the finished build. The crewmember atop the foremast is a nice touch. And she is licensed now. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Great looking schooner! I'd like to see the stern more integrated with the colour scheme instead of all that White, but it's really no biggie. Quote

I spent way too much time making sails over the past few weeks, I'm hoping my next ship doesn't need this many... 14 minutes ago, Captain Green Hair said: Great looking schooner! Well, the stripe is white as well, it is just broken because that slope is so unconvenient sadly. Looking at the pictures again, I'm considering removing the slopes at the bottom of the sternplate, as they seem quite odd. Quote
TitusV Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Another one of these amazing ships. You're on a building roll man! Quote
Bregir Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Great looking two-topsail schooner, LS. I like the shape off her hull, especially around the bows. The rigging is really well done too, although I again miss sheets for the sails! The colour of the sails go well with the hull colours. I would suggest you add a dolphin striker and its accompanying stays to counter the forces bending your jib-boom. Details like the capstan, boat and hatch on deck finish her off nicely, and I don't mind the non-tiled decks. (Especially not after trying to pose minifigs on a tiled one... ) A agree about those lower slopes on her transom - looks like an unfinished skull or something along those lines. All in all, nice schooner. Quote
