andreasbaumgart Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Hi ! Some students and me create a new exercise for other students. This time we constructed a robot using mecanum wheels. Students should learn how to control this robot using mathematical equations and implement them in Java leJOS. Have fun! Andreas Quote
evortigosa Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) Wooow! The abilities of your creation are really impressive. Is pretty nice to see mecanum wheels in action! Edited February 15, 2017 by evortigosa Quote
evortigosa Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Are you engineer or computer scientist ? Quote
andreasbaumgart Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) I studied electrical engineering. I am working with computers since 1981 :-) and worked as an scientist after finished the university. Now i am working as an lecturer at the university and using LEGO Mindstorms in my lessons with the students. I am also presenting the greater papercube-project on different events worldwide. evortigosa Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) We are from technology, Andreas. I am a computer scientist, now MSc student in time series information visualization, at University of São Paulo, Brazil. For me LEGO is a hobby, but is good to see how you programmed mathematics and transformed it into real movements. I'm here, just thinking about the complexities of your source code :) Don't forget to share more of your work! Edited February 15, 2017 by evortigosa Quote
GroundskeeperWillie Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Great job! I can't believe I got through so many years of math without seeing the formula of a heart curve. But now I just did Quote

ColletArrow Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Pretty cool! Have you considered attatching a pen, and drawing the graphs on a large sheet of paper? Quote
