Akbalder Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 The 1:1 cars aren't usually made of technic legos. Quote

allanp Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 That's pretty epic! Must have took a lot of work! Quote

jorgeopesi Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 I don't know well where to put this but the new pneumatic switches are perfect to use with autovalves, I think is important, at least for me. Quote
Aventador2004 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Hoping some more builds appear, just finishing mine. Thanks for opening entry topic. Quote

Seems that it will be a bit more complex that just a static 1:1 model. Check this short video where they are using 2304 PF motors simultaneously to drive a metal shaft, presumably for driving the huge model: https://www.facebook.com/LEGOTechnic/videos/295203794544868/ Quote
allanp Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Holy cow! It's great to see them promoting this great set in such epic fashion. Quote
JonathanM Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Hah - maybe that's the reason 42080 has an L motor rather than an M - they wanted to make sure they had lots in stock for this thing... Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 If you live near a Smyths (which I do, smug me), jam on over there 'cos... 42079 - £39.99 42080 - £94.99 42081 - £84.99 42082 - £169.99 Now these are some great prices. Go get 'em! Quote
Magical Duck Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 I just realized that 2018 is the first year in Technic in a long time (since 2015 I think...) that no numbers have been "skipped" in the lineup. In 2016 there was 42051, and in 2017 there was 42067 (which also showed up on the tow truck 42070 for some reason- TOW 067). Cue Anna... For the first time in forever... Quote
schraubedrin Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Is there any reason this thread is still pinned and not the 2019 one? Are we starting to put the early released 2019 sets into the 2018 wave? Quote

But maybe it's just because we haven't had news since September and it's only 2 months until release- not much point in discussion until then unless we get some leaked images . Quote
Shiva Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Good time to check https://brickset.com/buy/amazon and other places now during Black Friday. For me, the 42082 hit the "Buy" treshold, twice this thursday and frida. I did miss the best, sadly "sold out" + thursday only. But ordered it from amazon UK for a nice price. Quote
Jurss Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 First time black Friday affected me (it is even not very popular here), and bought from official Lego store (also first time for me) Quote
Boulderer Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 42082 is currently at £108.10 on Amazon UK. Less than half price! Quote
Ivorrr Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Its not anymore - I was just clicking to buy 2x and they increased the price to £185... Quote
LucyCol Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Lots of sets now listed as retiring soon on the Lego (UK) shop site. But rest easy as everyone's favorite 42070 is not one of them Quote

Bartybum Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Lol at 42070 not retiring yet. What’s the bet they have a bunch of shelf warmers because nobody wants to buy one Quote

Steinbeisserheld Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 (edited) I imagine it sells the same way i bought my 42077 this spring: Someone without a clue stumbles over the product: "Oh look, a Lego car, lets buy it." I don´t want to make the 42077 much worser as ist is, it´s a nice set for the beginning, but it has nothing special like the 42082 crane or the 42056 Porsche. I bought it for roundabout 70 Euros, that´s ok. Edited December 5, 2018 by Steinbeisserheld Quote
