[MOC] Ebon Hawk

Hello Eurobricks Community,

with my first post, I introduce you to my EBON HAWK, a ship that represents for all KOTOR fans, the same emotions as for the Millenium Falcon.
A colleague of mine urged me to show you this creation, since I take my inspirations for this ship from the community. I hope it is also an inspiration to.

Nice work, you definitely captured the shape well, and it looks pretty sleek in dark red!

Great job man, like others, I really like the color scheme! The mix of red, dark red, and brown is great.  I also love the boarding ramp photo from Flickr, you should've posted that as well!  Do you have plans on adding more detail to the interior?

Wow it's great to see the Ebon Hawk done so well! It's a ship that hasn't been made into a MOC a lot since 2004, and the surge of new renditions this year keep getting progressively better. This one has nailed the shape perfectly.

For a moment I was wondering if you were joking... The Ebon Hawk's freighter class, canon again and it somehow went under the radar? Then I found this little picture:

So not only is the Dynamic Class freighter canon again, they are now seen still in service as late into the timeline as Episode VII... wow!

I have worked on one on and off in LDD and can't ever get it right.

Thank you for your interest, unfortunately I can not offer instructions (less time for the best hobby), but I can take more pictures to show you, how I put the Hawk together. Give me a few days and then I'll post the pictures here.

Awesome build! This does bring back a lot of memories from KOTOR. You did a goob job as well on creating a lot of interior space, so I am sure you will make a nice interior as well. I will stay tuned on this.

Really nice MOC. She looks great. I am just staring a Minifig scale Ebon Hawk. I will post a build log here sometime soon once it starts taking shape.

That’s a beautiful build, very clever making it hollow too! Have you got any plans to do an interior? Your style of building looks like it would suit a Lego retail model, copying the Falcon style for the rear body is a great move, if it’s strong enough to be played with I think you should submit it to Lego Ideas. Great work!

Many thanks also to you, mcphatty! I will continue to building in the future and also complete the interior. With the new statutes at Lego Ideas, Star Wars sets unfortunately don't have a chance anymore. But maybe the new Star Wars trilogy of the Game-Of Thrones makers will remember "the old republic". And so the Lego Company will follow.

This is a great representation of this iconic ship, and at such a scale too! This is what it would look like if LEGO took a shot at it!
I also appreciate your not-quite-instructions but rather, breakdowns. Interesting use of new Technic plates and clip-plates to achieve the angles of this craft!
