KDog Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 (edited) I just started using PNG format for the comics, which I discovered looks much crisper. But I'm mad at myself because I only saved the previous 55 comics in JPEG format, which becomes a little grainy because of the compression. Comparing the two, I now realize how crappy JPEG is; I was just using it out of habit because it was the standard for years. The problem is that I don't have the first 55 comics saved in an uncompressed format, so they exist only in subpar JPEG. The only way I could fix that would be to take the original images from the camera, all of which I do have saved, and recreate those 55 comics. But that' a huge undertaking. If I ever do somehow do a book collecting the comics, I'd be screwed. Darn it, I hate JPEG. I don't think there's a way to decompress files, but is there a software tool that can take JPEG files and make them look better? Edited June 18, 2008 by KDog Quote
Adam Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Interesting... Galanos meeting himself- I can see humor around the corner ! Another good one ! Quote
Batbrick Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Great stuff KDog, I love the new format, I thought to myself "Oh surely like most program users he's merely exaggerating" but then I saw the strip and Wow! It certainly is a lot better quality, good job there! Don't see it as unfortunate that you can't change your older ones, see it as good that you can change future ones. Anyway, onto the strip, I love how he managed to bypass the "remembering" problem by getting drunk, and the reclining chair and stupid robot joke was rather funny. I'm really intrigued to see where this goes, but I guess you can't REALLY call it a solo journey when he has himself for comfort Batbrick Away! Quote
KDog Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 I think what I meant by solo was "No Schwartz." :-D I might slowly go back and redo the old comics a bit, since I still have all the original images. I dunno. Quote

Batbrick Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Great job, love the conversation between the two, especially the "You wanna live to be my age right?" part. It's always fun playing with time paradoxes, will it be explained how past Galanos got his hands on a time projector? Or will it be left as a highly secret Temporal Whojits? (Which I like as it was amusing) Very interested in seeing where this goes, especially with the ice babe, haven't seen her in a while. Batbrick Away! Quote
Inertia Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Just Caught up, the 'Reflecting backwards' strip is really funny. Especially the "And live a life of Complete misery" part was hilarious. I guess Schwartz has all the luck this time... Well, maybe not if he sees Cheryl from the ATV again I'm really sorry I haven't got around to posting reviews, but this is my last day for three weeks on a computer, I'm getting sent to a Sales conference... KDog Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 Inertia, have fun on your sales conference! I look forward to seeing more of your Space reviews when you get back. Was it the AERO-Module that was next? Quote
KDog Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 The last installment of "Reflecting Backwards" has been posted! http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=423032 Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Darn it! Now no one will post in LEGO Idol! Anyway, I liked it, I haven't kept up with the story, but it seems funny so far. Quote

WhiteFang Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 It's been quite sometime since I last read your comic! They are still good and funny as usual. I was laughing, when I saw the last chapter of Reflecting Backwards. Kind of unexpected that it was his brother. Keep it up! Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Sorry. But thanks for the compliment. :) I'm kiddin'. Your welcome. Quote
Adam Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Mikey and Ronald... twins, perhaps? That's a good one. Galanos has a brother?! Another good one ! Quote
Batbrick Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Great one! Loved the twist, the idea of brothers I certainly didn't see coming, Ronald is a funny character. now we also know Galanos' fist name: Mikey! Looking forward to the next one, and good to see you still have some tricks up your sleeve KDog. Quote

I don't want to have a second set of twins in the comic, so Ronald and Mikey Galanos are just brothers who happen to look quite a bit alike. Mikey is older than Ronald by about seven years.
