"We are literally robbing the crown of Corrington with these economic incentives. Pity this had to be built at the edge of the world though. Her sister factories will make this the manufacturing capital of the new world. But it'll be a pain to ship the goods. Yes sir, it'll be a pain to ship the goods." FIN Thanks for viewing my build! Sorry for the radio silence lately. This was going to go in Mesabi Landing, but I need the cash, so Jameston I guess. C&C appreciated! Quote
Spud The Viking Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Great scene, I like the lighting in the furnace and the clear stages of glass-blowing! That is a rather flamboyant pinstripe suit Mr Zanzibar is showcasing! Quote
Darnok Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Curses! Setting up a factory for glass was my other idea for Jameston! Shame on you @Mesabi, shame on you! Now for reals: a good build, with the typical great Mesabi style of writing. I do like how you show the process of glassmaking, while I think you could add some more details to the build. This is due to the limitations of college I assume? @Ayrlego: DOes Jameston need another glass factory, or would you like something else instead? I am open to suggestions. Quote

It might just be the presentation or the pattern of the 'brick' bricks but I think your walls are getting better. The processes look good and are easy to follow - is that a light brick in the furnace? Cool effect either way. A bottle factory was a great choice, and rather fortuitous as I hear rumours a distillery is about to be opened in town.... 5 hours ago, Mesabi said: This was going to go in Mesabi Landing, but I need the cash, so Jameston I guess Sorry about that, but rest assured I do have a plan building a large town on the edge of the known world here! I'll pay up just as soon as the account sheet is back to normal. If you can confirm you licensed it already that would be great. Never mind, you just did! 5 hours ago, Drunknok said: DOes Jameston need another glass factory, or would you like something else instead? I am open to suggestions. How far along are you? I see a couple of choices here, 1. Jameston could always do with more factories, and Mesabi has specialised in bottles, so other glass products could be an option, so carry on! 2. As I've had a great response to the initiative so far (with at least one more factory on the way), if you'd prefer to build an educational or artisan property I would pay you the same incentive for one of those property types (I'm keen to make Large Town before I am forced away from my bricks at the end of the year). dr_spock Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Nice job with the furnance effect. Your workers do seem a bit well dressed and clean for making glass. Quote

I will take that offer! A large education property it will be, and one fitting for the needs of a growing sugar industry: a facility studying sugar - its sources, its uses, its refinement - and whatever you can make with sugar. I need a better name than "Academy of Sugar Science" though, since I am not thrilled by that titles abbreviation... Edited November 10, 2017 by Drunknok Quote
Ayrlego Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 @Mesabi The factory still isn't showing up in the accounts thread, but I assume the account gurus will look at that when they have time. In the meantime I have paid the incentive and licence (250DB). Quote
Bodi Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Fun story. Nice to see the WTC is expanding. Quote
