Said Karren, the secretary, her face a mess of makeup, as usual. "Well, I had to get over this hangover!" He said with a smirk. "Also it's not like we're doing anything important today!" "Mr. Zumbro, we have a mission briefing!" She said in a concerned voice. "Exactly, nothing important!" He left her desk and walked over to Pete. WTC sales division by North White, on Flickr "You know who my aunt is. Besides, do you really care enough to do something about it? I mean it's not like you can control me. We learned that lesson." Said Mr. Zumbro chidely. Zumbro walked over to the next desk "Ugh, you're late again," Said Bradley Stevens, the team accountant. "Just because the Countess is your aunt..." WTC sales division by North White, on Flickr Zumbro picked up Bradley's Coffee and drank it. "Ugh, why isn't this a Sea Rat Coffee? Every Coffee needs liquor!" "Hey! And not only is that racist to Sea Rats- Bradley was cut off "Who are jerks." Said Zumbro "I..." "Have no good response because you're not as awesome as me?" Sally Whistled loudly. "Everyone! We have a briefing to do!" WTC sales division by North White, on Flickr The group gathered around the table. Pete Spoke up. "So, Trador. A Large Eslandolan town just a zone outside our own. Dominated by MAESTRO." "Wait, what does MAESTRO stand for again? Misfits Acquiring Esoteric Stuff, Trading, at Random Outposts?" Asked Zumbro "No, it's Mypa-Stedor... Something Something.. I don't know." Said Pete. "So what about them?" Asked Sally "Well, there are goods they sell that we don't. And goods we sell that they don't." Added Pete "Like anything involving horses?" Asked Zumbro, "Cause we killed a looooot of Horses last month." "Basically. Anyways, we need to establish an office there. And the last time we were there...." WTC sales division by North White, on Flickr "Yeah Yeah. We were pretty drunk after that soccer match. We got some neat stuff out of that warehouse though." Said Sally. "Yeah... And also probably ruined relations with them. So, do what you can." Said Pete angrily. "To destroy their water supply and orchards?" Asked Zumbro "No! To set up a company house, and to start doing business with them. You idiot." Said Pete. "So get a ship and get on it!" "Are you sure?..." "Yes!" FIN Thanks for viewing the character introduction for Joseph Zumbro. I'm trying to work on adding more characters so I'm not limited to just Agnes and the Count. C&C appreciated everyone. Quote
Darnok Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Sweet story, as usual! Joseph Zumbro is an excellent megablock, well written! The build itself, while quite basic, does a great job as background for the story. The interior is properly busy, and I like the diversity in bricks used for the walls - looking good! The roof is also nicely done, the brown tiles do a great job in detailing there. The one thing I would add is some kind of pathway on the outside, leading to the front door. Some grey tiles or plates, round or with edges, would add a lot with very little work. Overall a really solid build, showing again that your building style improves. For the story: I can not wait to see where this goes! Quote
Bregir Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Interesting character, this Zumbro - I wonder if his personality will gain him many friends! ;) Where is the scarf piece from, and do you if it comes in other colours? I agree with Drunknok that the interior is nicely populated with props and furniture and looks busy like a trading office should. Tiling the floors and some of the furniture tops could make it look more "clean" but that is a matter of bricks. The exterior is nice as well and the use of brown tiles for the roof is effective use of just a few bricks. I think it might have worked even better if the roof plates had been brown too. I also like the use of Nexo knights shield. Is that the crest of the WTC? As to terrain, I agree with Drunknok that a path would make sense. You could also give it some contour with just a few tan plates so that it is less flat, but I like how you spice it up with plants, barrels etc. Quote
