[COR ML] Harbour Administration, Mesabi Landing

[Darnok]

With Mesabi Landing growing, so did its harbour. Keeping track of all cargo being moved in and out of port is done by the Harbour Administration, which just moved to its new bureau.

 

While on the pier some WTC Infantry guarded the building, one cat eyed a parrot hungrily...

 

... on the streetside one fisherman carried home rich bounty, while a young pirate returned from his adventures. Is that Drunknok sleeping under the stairs? No wonder the "WTC Monthly" has been late...

No flat roof in the landing? Thats unheard of. Lol

I like the sea side of the building but to me the door and the bay window feel out of place on the land side.

This is really a great build! I can't quite put my finger on why, but I think it works perfectly!

Something from the deep has risen from the waves, and approves of this structure:

 

It was indeed the warbeast of Agnes Mesabi, who was already looking forward to new adventures: "Shoo, my mount, ride me into glorious battle!"

One of the WTC Operators stood on the pier, cursing: "So those bureaucratic misfits want a detailed list of our rowboats? §&€%! Who is doing all the work? Me again. Ah well, here we go. Everyboy: state your boats name, the crews names, and your current cargo!"

 

"WTC Agnes Y1, under squad leader Greybeard and rower Marcus, transporting some barrels of taters."

 

"WTC Agnes Y2, under Smithy and rower Samston, with two bags of apples."

 

"WTC Agnes Y3, under Rick and rower Sally, with some barrels of grain." ... "So YOU did forget them here on the pier!" ... "Can't hear ya, must row!"

 

"WTC Agnes Y4, under Smiley and Missy, with a chest of fine spices." ... "Ah, some of our veterans!"

 

"WTC Agnes Y5, with Marco and rower Barry, carrying barrels of cured fish."

 

"So some food and spices. Is this really the WTC here? Squad Blue, report!"

 

"WTC Agnes B1, under squad leader Roberto and rower Yuso, with some harmless explosives." ... "NOW we're talking!"

 

"WTC Agnes B2, under Garry and rower Barry*, with even more harmless explosives."

* ... often mockingly called "two men, two eyes"

 

"WTC Agnes B3, under Finn and Tychus, with a box of grenades."

 

"WTC Agnes B4, under Nicolas and rower Dutch, transporting a chest of muskets."

 

"WTC Agnes B5, under Francis and rower Browder, carrying a big box of swords and cutlasses."

 

"Ah, finally done. I hope those paper pushers in the admiralty are satisfied with this. Otherwise we could just send Squad Blue to help them out..."

I quite like to contrast between the front and back of this building Drunknok - also the diagonal doors on the seaward side look great. The minfig with fish on the stick followed by the cat is also a nice little detail that stood out for me!

Great build Drunknok! I love both sides of the building. Your continued use of the bay window piece is nice, as is how you set the two doors inwards some.
